Running 17.1 and using the stable (Stretch) repositories. The only repository I have added is one I used to download a patch for xserver. I have not downloaded anything else from this repository.
1. My antix.list file has two entries for stretch (stable):
“deb http://iso.mxrepo.com/antix/stretch/ stretch main nosystemd
#deb http://iso.mxrepo.com/antix/stretch/ stretch main nosystemd”QUESTION: Shouldn’t the second entry be “deb-src” rather than “deb”?
2. The only repository enabled in my sources.list.d directory is the one in the debian.list file:
“deb http://security.debian.org/ stretch/updates main contrib non-free”
QUESTION: Are there security updates that are coming from other repositories that I should have enabled in my source lists?I am asking about this, because I am not getting security updates as regularly with antix as I was with my former distro Debian Wheezy.
QUESTION: Is there a list of security updates made for stretch in the past month that I can compare to what is on my system? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for volume hotkeys – it works.
I enabled deb http://nl.mxrepo.com/antix/sid/ sid main nosystemd
for eeepc-acpi-scripts in antix.list
executed apt-get update but I can’t find eeepc-acpi-scripts unfortunatly
thought it should be somewhere: https://packages.debian.org/sid/eeepc-acpi-scripts
May be I missed something obvious?July 5, 2018 at 7:49 am #11284In reply to: Lumina Desktop

I built Lumina debs for stretch for those that want to test it out and it has been sent to get added to the repos.
Testers will need to edit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/antix.list to include the word devdeb http://repo.antixlinux.com/stretch stretch main nosystemd devPhilosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

I switched to Erlangen in the repo manager a few days ago and then did a D-U in the terminal.
Now, when I look into the repo manager.

Can confirm having the same behavior like you one one installation (the newly selected repos will not be shown to the antix.list) and had to add it manually.
But this is a three years old installation of antix14 (which wasn’t even a official release) running with testing-repos.
So I didn’t pay much attention to it.
Which antiX do you run ?root@a300:~

Change it by hand see this post for list of repos.
1. Fasted option always jumps back to repo.antixlinux.com – I guess there is really something wrong in repo manager in general. Why should be Utah Server always be the fastest? That doesn’t make sense…
2.
Anyway, I have now changed the antix.list in terminal to Server in Sweden.
And FINALLY it works!
But I _don’t_ think this is a solution or workaround for a standard user.Adding or remarking lines with root rights in these lists is _dangerous_!
Or even better deleting lines, not knowing what the user is doing there, not having any backups…In my case I have done a FULL backup of HDD1 with clonezilla before doing ANYTHING on the system.
So here is the result; you can see it in the added screenshot.
It works. But I still think we should have a close look at the repo-manager application.- This reply was modified 4 years, 10 months ago by Fonsis.

Just to add to what Anti said.
antixcc>system>edit config files > password > antix.list
I picked the fastest closest repo mirror to me. So I made me a new line.

Yep, I’ve also noticed some strange behavior of repo-manager on some antix-installations, whereas it works error-free on some installations.
If you choose The Netherlands-http://nl.mxrepo.com under antix Repos and after clicking apply marker jumps back to repo.antilinux.com
Could you look then under Einzelquellen under antix.list, if it has changed ?
If not, try to mark the new repo there, dismark the old one and then Anwenden.
Does this help ?I have all tried this already and it doesn’t work!
The the new selected repo is NOT added or listed in “Einzelquellen”. So it CANNOT be marked – because it isn’t there!
I guess the repo-manager is buggy. 🙁 Or something is wrong with read and write permission… whatever…-
Anyway, could please provide me a WORKING repo in deb-format?
So I will try this step again…
But please, this whole issue should be fixed very soon.
Best regards,
Fonsis

strange, I don’t seem to have the repo manager in my Control Centre.
Look if you can find it as “Manage APT Repositories” in the Control Center. If not, look for it as “Repo Manager” in Start Menu => Applications => System Tools.
Use repo-manager to choose another mirror.
The default antiX repo is having serious hardware problems.Obviously, it’s the same issue that is discussed to another thread. As I wrote there, errors disappeared after I edited antix.list file. I can see the change I’ve done at the “Individual sources” tab of Repo Manager. But I didn’t select a different APT repository at the “antiX repos” tab. Should I?
