Bought me a Dell Chromebook with Kali Linux that I played with for awhile.
Decided enough was enough and made up a 64 bit antiX full iso usb.
Hit the escape key when turning this on to pick usb bootup.
Good news. Booted up just fine. Installed just fine. Most hardware worked out of the box
Bad news. No sound. No 2 finger tap. Takes 3 fingers for the 2 finger action.
Tap was easy to fix.

How to Search for AntiX solutions to your problemsHello!
I have installed Antix on my old Acer 3023WLMi, and I am quite happy with the OS performance. The laptop had been previously running Debian 11 with LXQT and it was visibly slower.
There is one major problem though, and it is the Broadcom BCM4318 WiFi. Connman says it is connected, but I can not access anything. I have to say that the last official 32bit Puppy linux works well with the laptop’s WiFi.During the Antix installation, the b43-fw_cutter, firmware-b43-installer, firmware-b43legacy-installer have been installed. I have removed firmware-b43legacy-installer, as it is not relevant for the 4318.
After a re-scan, Network assistant has shown the following loaded drivers: b43,r8169,mii,fjes
ping 8.8.8.8 fails, with message “Destination Host Unreachable”. The same message appears whenever I try to use a browser to access Internet.
ping 192.168.1.1 works fine.
I have attached the output of several commands.

5. sudo modprobe -r b43
6. sudo modprobe b43Unfortunately, nothing has changed.
Have to say that my laptop has been working relatively fine for several years with Debian. After the last Debian update the Wifi stopped working and this was the reason to move to Antix.
Another detail is that when I move my Wifi connection to the top of the Connman list of Services, the connection begins to work for a while, albeit at a really slow speed. After about 1 minute, the connection is lost again.
This problem is way outside my experience and I would be grateful for any help.
I have an EFI Windows dual boot system that was once booting from sda4. I now need to boot from sda6 instead, so I would like that to be my default.
At this point I need to clear and resize sda4 and sda5, and copy my sda6 to the new sda4 and change its UUID so that I can use it for testing the kernels in my latest attempt to get my bluetooth headset to work. I am afraid to do that if the system thinks sda4 controls the boot. Gparted is telling me that if I change those partition sizes I might not be able to boot.
When I run boot repair and select ESP and sda1 for location, and sda6 for root location, then apply, it says it was successful.
But if I go back in and look again, it wants to use MBR again, and thinks sda4 should be the root location.
Does anyone have any helpful ideas, comments or suggestions?

Good evening fellow antixer,
I was expirmenting with window tiling, after I learned that info in the FAQ is outdated and the keys for it are different I found them in the config files.
But now if I select tile to LEFT or to RIGHT
It can’t be moved off the top of the screen anymore, only moved left and right along the screen.tiling top left or right moves it to much up, and the status bar can’t be accessed anymore.
At the moment I’m using a vga monitor, and it’s even weirder when using that. But for now I’d be happy if the tiling would work without getting the windows stuck.System: Kernel: 4.9.0-279-antix.1-486-smp arch: i686 bits: 32 compiler: gcc v: 10.2.1 Desktop: IceWM v: 3.2.0 vt: 7 dm: slimski v: 1.5.0 Distro: antiX-21_386-full Grup Yorum 31 October 2021 base: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye) Machine: Type: Portable System: Dell product: Inspiron 1011 v: A00 serial: <superuser required> Mobo: Dell model: CN0Y53 v: A00 serial: <superuser required> BIOS: Dell v: A00 date: 03/20/2009 Battery: ID-1: BAT1 charge: 30.6 Wh (80.5%) condition: 38.0/44.0 Wh (86.5%) volts: 11.7 min: 11.1 model: Dell type: Li-ion serial: <filter> status: discharging Memory: RAM: total: 1.96 GiB used: 577.5 MiB (28.8%) RAM Report: permissions: Unable to run dmidecode.
