pulseaudio is already the newest version (14.2-2.0nosystemd1).
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:

libgtk1.2-common libopusfile0 librcc0 librcd0 libsidutils0 libstfl0 libtagc0

Yes, for sound transmission over bluetooth the installation of pulseaudio and also pulseaudio-module-bluetooth is needed.

Hi, please provide more information, especially about your HW, e.g. ‘inxi -Fxz’ is the typical desired output.
1) antiX 21 full/base/…, 32/64-bit?
2) Is pulseaudio installed (and running)?
3) Please also post output of the below command (‘dpkg -l’ = list packages; grep … = select only those installed ‘ii’ and containing string ‘blue’):
dpkg -l | grep -i '^ii[ ]*blue*'
4) It would be good to mention what you have already tried not to repeat the same suggestions…
5) Did you try to search (and apply advises) from topics on antiX forum?
The search https://www.antixforum.com/forums/search/bluetooth/ reveals e.g.:
https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/broken-packages-related-to-bluetooth/ <– Look at this one, it contains practically the same error!

I was presented with a JBL Go3 speaker which works wonderfully well with my Samsung Android phone. I was also able to pair it with my laptop which is running antiX 21 Grup Yorum but unfortunately I get no sound. When I go to Auto connect profiles on JBL Go3 I get an error message: Failed to connect Protocol not available.
I’ve googled for a solution but failed to find one to make it work. Will appreciate any help you can provide with this issue. Thanks.

I had the same problem with D-Bus permissions. Comparing to a different, working distro, I discovered that the working one had this file:
/etc/dbus-1/system.d/bluetooth.conf
…which the antiX did not have. So I copied that file over to the non-working system and it seems to have fixed the problem.- This reply was modified 10 months ago by crackulator.

Continuing the updates of the distributions on my Dell Inspiron laptop, I’m now updating PCLinuxOS.
This is a solid, general purpose distribution. With the software, the updates, and a browser with a few tabs open, you can readily see that memory usage is NOT conserved, but neither is it a scarce resource on this particular hardware, so it’s a good system for testing and using various systems. It’s no longer “current technology”, so it’s not particularly fast, but it does have plenty of memory, multiple processors, so it’s not lacking in anything other than fast speed.inxi -b System: Host: localhost.localdomain Kernel: 5.18.9-pclos1 arch: x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: Xfce v: 4.16.0 Distro: PCLinuxOS 2022 Machine: Type: Laptop System: Dell product: Inspiron 5558 v: 01 serial: <superuser required> Mobo: Dell model: 086DKN v: A00 serial: <superuser required> UEFI: Dell v: A04 date: 08/06/2015 Battery: ID-1: BAT0 charge: 30.1 Wh (100.0%) condition: 30.1/41.4 Wh (72.6%) CPU: Info: dual core Intel Core i7-5500U [MT MCP] speed (MHz): avg: 1155 min/max: 500/3000 Graphics: Device-1: Intel HD Graphics 5500 driver: i915 v: kernel Device-2: NVIDIA GK208BM [GeForce 920M] driver: nouveau v: kernel Device-3: Suyin Integrated_Webcam_HD type: USB driver: uvcvideo Display: server: X.org v: 1.21.1.3 driver: X: loaded: intel,v4l gpu: i915 resolution: 1366x768~60Hz OpenGL: renderer: Mesa Intel HD Graphics 5500 (BDW GT2) v: 4.6 Mesa 22.1.3 Network: Device-1: Intel Wireless 3160 driver: iwlwifi Device-2: Realtek RTL810xE PCI Express Fast Ethernet driver: r8169 Device-3: Intel Bluetooth wireless interface type: USB driver: btusb Drives: Local Storage: total: 447.13 GiB used: 15.98 GiB (3.6%) Info: Processes: 210 Uptime: 40m Memory: 7.69 GiB used: 1.71 GiB (22.2%) Shell: Bash inxi: 3.3.19--

I faced the same problem this week after autoremoving elogind and some libpolkit stuff.
After installing them again bluemanapplet started to work again. This was not a PC of mine, so I didn’t start experiments to look further whats the problem, but was happy it was working as before.Behavior reported in the initial post of this thread appear to be also the case for my *elogind*-free systems. I remember giving up bluetooth, when going to completely *elogind*-free antiX some half a year ago. Being *elogind*-free was more important to me than bluetooth…
Sorry for my above confusion…
After further investigation it turns out that my similar issue with Bluetooth had nothing to do with being *elogind*-free. It turns out that compatibility of my Bluetooth adapter was causing this. Although seen by Connman, it did not actually work. Replacing Bluetooth adapter fixed the problem in my case.
This confirmed in my experiment that the Bluetooth is working perfectly fine in my *elogind*-free antiX 21.
Understandably this my report does not contribute anything to solution of issues experienced by others but at least I want to clear up my previous confusing experience…Live antiX Boot Options (Previously posted by Xecure):

Had to use my admin rights to whitelist that last post. Those commands and readouts triggered the spam filters. Hence why I mentioned I temp save my posts.
Now where was I ? Oh yeah. bluetooth speaker in question being used is.https://allsoundlab.net/ultimate-review-skullcandy-soundmine-portable-speaker/
To explain my reasoning. Just trying to teach members how to post a problem. Instead of just
bluetooth 2.14 starting
bluetooth applet needs to be started 1st
It was fixed mysteriously.
Now I know bluetooth-applet is running because in command line it says a instance is already running.
For some reason bluetooth-manager does not see it running.
So. Mysterious aint gonna cut it.
I have already paired and played my skullcandy bluettoth speaker on my samsung s10e phone.
So not a hardware problem.
inxi sees it.
lsusb lists the driver being used.But. Rfkill list won’t listen to me either today.

Topic: Bluetooth speaker
I was presented with a JBL Go3 speaker which works wonderfully well with my Samsung Android phone. I was also able to pair it with my laptop which is running antiX 21 Grup Yorum but unfortunately I get no sound. When I go to Auto connect profiles on JBL Go3 I get an error message: Failed to connect Protocol not available.
I’ve googled for a solution but failed to find one to make it work. Will appreciate any help you can provide with this issue. Thanks.
