Today is a national holiday in the United States of America. It’s commonly referred to these days as simply “The Fourth of July” because many in the current generation have lost track of the root of many holidays. This one is actually rather important in the context of my native country’s history. It represents the date that a hand-written scroll, using an ancient ink “quill” pen, was authored in SEVENTEEN days. The document is called “The Declaration of Independence”. Ultimately, Congress voted for independence on July 2, but they endorsed the final copy of the Declaration of Independence on July 4. Notes referenced and a few words directly copied from an article at All That’s Interesting – Who wrote the Declaration of Independence? I'm here with antiX 21 on my Dell Inspiron 5558 laptop, the primary antiX home:

I’ve messed about with that, disabeling services that take up a lot of memory (relatively speaking, we’re talking 1-2mb). So basically bluetooth and cups. I dont have bluetooth on my netbook and I never print.

Hello,
I can’t find the documentation for the services started at antiX startup.
Why are there 8 columns in the terminal (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 0, 6, S)? It’s strange that the “0” column is between columns 5 and 6!
I saw when antiX started up that it launched mode “S”. What are the other columns for?Why isn’t the “connman” service checked in all columns? You still need an internet connection on a computer to update it!
I have disabled the bluetooth as I don’t use it. I don’t know if I can remove other services.
If I don’t encrypt my USB sticks, can I remove both cryptdisks and cryptdisk$ services?
Please help me to understand what is dangerous to delete and what can be deleted without breaking everything in antiX.
Best regards,

I apologize for being late to this conversation, so revisiting this thread…
I faced the same problem this week after autoremoving elogind and some libpolkit stuff.
After installing them again bluemanapplet started to work again. This was not a PC of mine, so I didn’t start experiments to look further whats the problem, but was happy it was working as before.Behavior reported in the initial post of this thread appear to be also the case for my *elogind*-free systems. I remember giving up bluetooth, when going to completely *elogind*-free antiX some half a year ago. Being *elogind*-free was more important to me than bluetooth…
However: Is there any update to antiX bluetooth infrastructure that would let antiX run *elogind*-free, using seatd instead?- This reply was modified 10 months, 2 weeks ago by olsztyn.

sudo dmesg | grep bluetooth
zeigt vielleicht was nützliches. -

Hello,

If I don’t encrypt my USB sticks, can I remove both cryptdisks and cryptdisk$ services?
Please help me to understand what is dangerous to delete and what can be deleted without breaking everything in antiX.
Best regards,
