I used the links in the h2 signature to get the most recent (released) inxi and it wasn’t difficult at all.
But once I got to the site, I also saw the exact description that Harold provided above, and he’s absolutely right.
No matter which “method” you use to get either inxi or smxi, or any other tool, for that matter, it’s rarely complicated, and these specific tools are definitely quick and easy to download.

In my case, I grabbed a zip copy, unzipped the files and put the stuff in my own personal location; easy, done.

Here’s a detailed report on my system, which has been sitting idle for an hour or so until I unlocked it a few minutes ago.
This detailed report comes from a downloaded, stable version of inxi:

I’m using a different piece of hardware again today, and it’s another one where at the present time I have ONLY antiX installed.
I hope to spend some time later today acquiring a newer version of the excellent h2 tool inxi. In the meantime, here is
what the inxi-gui version I have available says about the system I am using now:

I’m back once again with my Dell Latitude 5558 laptop today, and I’m continuing with testing various systems. After using quite a few of my antiX images, here’s the MX-21.1_x64 Wildflower October 20 2021, updated today with the most recent Bullseye version of the Liquorix kernel. Note that
Liquorix also has 5.18 kernels available in their unstable repository; I noticed at least one of them earlier today.

I’m back once again with my Dell Latitude 5558 laptop today, and I’m continuing with the installed instance of antiX-21-runit_x64-base.
I noticed that I wasn’t running the most current 4.9 kernel, so I updated it and rebooted. Most of the kernels work well, and this one
              is no exception.

I’m back once again with my Dell Latitude 5558 laptop today, and I’m continuing with the final USB I’ll be testing today.
It’s the most recent one I created, antiX-21-runit_x64-full. After this, I’ll compare these USB images to the antiX-21 runit image I have installed on this hardware.

I’m back once again with my Dell Latitude 5558 laptop today, and I’m continuing to check out my USB images.
This time I’m using antiX-19.5_x64-full from USB.

I’m going through several of my “older” USB sticks at the moment and I found a couple of antiX 21 images that I used to assist in the testing of the antiX 21 implementation. I found this one interesting because I was testing the Copy_toram feature and a few other things. I was also able to include my own wallpaper in the image that I saved, so that was helpful testing too.

This one is the antiX-bullseye-a2-runit_x64-full image, which is the Alpha 2 build BEFORE we started Beta testing. I’ve long held that antiX does a great job of getting even the early builds in usable condition; this is a very good example. While not perfect at this stage, it’s usable, even now (long after the released image is complete).

I’m back today with my Dell Latitude 5558 laptop today, so that means that I can run antiX, so I’m doing exactly that.
The first is antiX-21-runit_x64-base that I’m running live from one of my USB images that I have created in the past year:

Today I’m here with MX Linux 21 on my newest hardware after spending a full day with two separate instances of antiX 21 yesterday on my Dell Inspiron 5558 laptop.

The Acer Aspire 5 Model A515-55 that I’m using now IS able to BOOT the antiX-21-runit-full-amd64 image BUT it only sees the Ethernet network card, and I have only a few places to go in order to plug in, so I’ve been sticking with the 5558 when I want to get some GOOD TIME in with antiX OR the Lenovo X201; both of them are good systems for antiX; my two old HP systems, a desktop and an old laptop (one of them is SO OLD that it’s actually a rebranded Compaq D5000 series with an HP badge on it); whatever “age” that system is, the DESIGN of that system probably DATES back somewhere between 2000-2007.

By the way, I’m really happy with our “runit” series; it’s been solid and I don’t see any “issues”, and it’s a responsive, lean, usable, effective distribution, and I’ve used it extensively in both Base and Full implementations (haven’t used Net or Core for a few years). In testing going back a few releases, I’ve used other init systems; though I have not tested them recently, we’ve had solid versions of the classic init systems/methods for almost two decades; they’re solid too.

Here’s what my MX Linux 21 setup looks like on my Acer Aspire 5 A515-55 laptop:

                              Dear All,

When I do a speedtest with Google Chrome in antiX 21, I always have a bad result for the download test. My curve always collapses. I should have 125 mbps all the time.

If I do the same test with the same Google Chrome version in MX Linux 19.4, my download test is very good and my curve does not collapse.

If I do the same test with the same Google Chrome version in Windows 10, my download test is very good and my curve does not collapse.

Why do I have a bad result with antiX 21? If you have an idea to share…

                              Best regards,
