Depends. Not enough info yet from you yet
      1. Running live or installed. A inxi -Fxz report would be nice. Also the “tail end” of dmesg report when trying to use the bluetooth speaker.
      2. Link to unknown bluetooth speaker. No mention of computer being used.
      3. If a modern bluetooth speaker. I needed pulse audio before my skull candy bluetooth speaker would play.

      Howdy and Welcome.

Please type in the following –

      sudo inxi -Fxz

When you get the results, please copy them and then paste them into a reply to this topic.
As Roki says, this will assist us in understanding your system so we are able to help you.

      Thanks!

            @BobC,
The left button is to Connect via WiFi, Bluetooth, or Cable. The right one is to control the Firewall.

I meant the button labeled connection on left side of window under antiX graphic. Firewall is absolutely clear

Again, right now this is all in English, but before it’s completed the English will be translated.

                https://github.com/konkor/cpufreq/issues/48

konkor, author of the “cpufreq” program has stated:

                1. irqbalance doesn’t support fully all kernel features to an example a turning on/off core threads supported by the extension. If you have installed irqbalance package and turn off some cores you can get freezes or not working devices like wi-fi, bluetooth, video cards, sound cards…

                2. irqbalance is not a part of the Linux kernel.

                3. It designed for special server configurations with many RAID/HDD/SDD controllers.

                4. Only Debian Flowers have the irqbalance installed because Debian is very Server oriented. Red Hat doesn’t have installed irqbalance by default but it doesn’t make Red Hat less server OS.

                5. It keeps all Linux core threads working so its not good for power saving, especially for laptops.

                6. Any user-space application (like games, compilation…) can not get 100% of CPU resources on any thread because it’s always sharing this resources with IO tasks.

These are the contents inside the init related to disable boot option found in a README file.

A list of actual services that have been disabled is available in the
file "/etc/live/config/disabled". You can enable and disable services
after you boot with the "services" command.

                      a disable acpid service

I have been studying the boot parameters, and many of them are documented (good), but only inside the init project. I am trying to organize them and add them to the wiki, but got distracted by other things.

In the test you did with the VM (Virtual Machine). Which package did you use “comandortl8188fu-dkms_1.0.3_amd64.deb” or “rtl8188fufw-firmware_1.0.1.deb” and which command or program did you use to install?

                    I installed both.

rtl8188fufw-firmware_1.0.1.deb – The firmware only adds a firmware binary file in /lib/firmware/rtlwifi/. The firmware is needed for the driver to work. If you navigate the firmware folder, you will see lots of files for different devices (wifi, bluetooth, graphic cards, etc.). The firmware is like the “Interpreter” between the driver and the device. If you have the driver but are missing the firmware, the driver will not know “how to give instructions or understand instructions” to/from the device.

rtl8188fu-dkms_1.0.3_amd64.deb – This file will “install” the driver itself (with dkms instructions). As you know, the linux kernel contains all the compiled drivers (as modules) ready to be loaded when needed. When a driver is not included in the kernel, you need to compile it for it to work with that exact kernel. If you change of kernel version, you would need to recompile the driver that was added manually with the previous kernel. If you use DKMS (Dynamic Kernel Module Support) to compile the driver, every time you install a new kernel, the DKMS instructions will recompile the driver for the new kernel automatically, so you don’t need to compile it “manually” each time.

This is a simplified explanation. Many things can be nitpicked and corrected, but the general idea is close to reality.

Les paquets suivants seront ENLEVÉS :
                        cups-client cups-common cups-ppdc
                      0 mis à jour, 0 nouvellement installés, 3 à enlever et 100 non mis à jour.
Après cette opération, 4 603 ko d'espace disque seront libérés.

@ all Bluetooth tracker tags are cheap and good for remotes keys etc, remotes seem to have a hide from user,
matter transfer at random module included.

@ my ex the cat playing was the main culprit, really funny.

                        OT:
Roland, hope life at El Cabo is good this days, years ago I was there for a while each winter, often having to
move on to a tiny valley near Bolnuevo, Puerto da mazzaron where the Don, (land owner) of that time let Las Germanias,
the couple of german hobos in old camper vans stay on his land, we cleaned up the mess of rubbish we found every arrival and he
ensured the Guardia left us in peace. There was a beutiful old house and garden with a lot of Lemon trees there, his birthplace.
Nearby many anchient water canals built by Los Mauros. Arab. The locals let them rot. No understanding, the water was only magic
                        to them, sent by maria.
Sadly, after death of the Old Don came destruction and tomato growers.

Ok. First you need to understand there are 5 kinds of files there:
.iso contains the image of the antiX OS.
.iso.zsync you can ignore (related to synchronising between an already downloaded version)
.iso.sig you can ignore (related to verifying the .iso signature)
.iso.sha256 you can ignore (it is for verifying that the .iso selected downloaded properly and is not corrupted)
.iso.md5 you can ignore (the same as .iso.sha256 but checking the file integrity with md5 algorithm sum check)
So the only important ones for you are .iso files.

Second, you need to know what architecture you need/want.
Are you looking for 32 bits system? Then make sure it contains 386 in the file name.
Do you want a 64 bits antiX system? Download the file containing x64 in its name.

Third, selecting the prefered antix edition.
If you wan everything (Libreoffice, synaptic, gdebi, printer configuration, bluetooth, extra icon themes, etc.), select FULL edition. Most users will select this edition.
If you just want a working system with a smaller amount of apps, select the BASE edition.
If you want to build in terminal (ala Arch linux) without any graphical environment, select core edition (only for experts).
If you want to build from terminal an you are only connected thorugh ethernet (and don’t want/need wifi connection), use the net edition (only for experts).

See if this guide that anikagui created also helps:

                            Hello people,
I just want to say “thank you” for this really great Linux-distribution! My (in my terms) not so very old laptop (about 15 years) was urgently in need for a new operating system, since Ubuntu 12.04 LTS wouldn’t have let me upgrade anymore to the next LTS. This is more than a year ago, and I had only left little spare time to find a good solution. I looked around… searched… tested. Nothing was convincing on this machine. All went as slow, as if it was a 80386-based computer and not a 1,4GHz machine. They don’t seem to bother about efficient and slender code anymore, in times of rapid and constantly increasing size and speed of new hardware. And then, finally I got what I was looking for: antiX. I coincide with its way of keeping things simple as possible, nevertheless cute and well designed. I really dislike the “modern” attitude, to replace everything which is older than 2 years without any really good reason, but I was nearly arrived at the point to give way the idea of not being able to find a secure and at the same time convenient system for my old but fast equipment. This changed the moment antiX came to my attention. Thank you very much again!
Originally this notebook was shipped with Windows XP, and as long as it got regular updates from the manufacturer there was no reason to raise difficulties by changing anything profoundly (“never touch a …”). Then I switched to sidux, and most things worked. But it was rather time-consuming to manage, often something stopped working all of a sudden and since I have to use this notebook and not to play around with re-installing previously well-oiled things after they got broken by an update… I changed to Ubuntu, expecting a long period of time without the need of reinstalling something. But this was a great mistake. They told me, not even two years later, on the upgrade-screen, that my Machine wouldn’t met the requirements any longer for the upgrade. So I had to stay with the insecure outdated system for a quite long time. Not one of the better feelings, this…

So here’s the technical part of the story. I’m going to tell it in detail, since it might help other users to sail around some problems I encountered while setting up the system.
It is a RIM 2000, with an Intel 915 Pentium M processor at 1,7 GHz, 2GB RAM and 100GB HDD, Nvidia Go6600 Graphics, 1440×900 Screen, built in the early 2k-years (2005 I believe). It has internal Bluetooth, IrDA, built-in TV-card, surround audio-out, headphones, line-in, microphone-in, s-video in and out, external monitor SUB-D-connector, internal speakers, DVD-burner, firewire and internal phone-line modem, SD-card reader, and PCMCIA-slot.
The realy great thing is: All the standard functionality worked out of the box in – and that’s the drop of bitterness – in antiX 17.4, not in the actual antiX 19.1. It is some months ago when I first started the migration to antiX, and so the recent “Manolis Glezos” wasn’t out yet. I’ll give it a try again in the next few months. There was literaly no way to get antiX 19.1 to boot (double-checked the ISOs with its sha-sums). After using some bootcodes I ended up on a washy and blurry desktop, and the system perseveringly refused to accept the correct graphics-settings for my screen. And no Nvidia-drivers around to mend it. So I went back to antiX 17.4.1, which started up perfectly. Checked: Graphics (using noveau): OK. Keyboard OK. Wireless: OK. Sound OK. So I made an USB-stick in order not to touch the installed system until I had checked the rest of its features. Your USB-technique is great, I just write from the live-persistent system, fully configured. Soon it will be installed on the hard-drive finally.

I’ll call it a day for now. But I’ll try to continue my writing here for interested people, what I experienced while making things work in detail, configuring, updating, installing the meltdown/spectre-kernel and so on. I have some special needs, which had to work on the notebook: – musical notation – and MIDI. Let my say so much: It works like a charm in antiX.

                            Yours
                            Robin

PS: I apologize for some strange inflexions, I’m not a native speaker in English language.

A new set of secure kernels are now available in antiX buster repos.
Sid/testing and antiX-17 stretch versions are being built so users of those versions will have to wait a day or so.

                              Kernel versions: 4.4.240, 4.9.240, 4.19.152 and 5.8.16

All users are strongly advised to upgrade.

Viele Laptops und Netbooks haben ein Schalter mit dem Wlan manchmal auch Bluetooth Blockieren Lässt.
Ist diese ausgeschaltet, kann eine Wlan Verbindung nicht hergestellt werden.
