… Again – did you follow ALL the instructions in the post that caprea (and I) linked to? ………..

Sorry, but when I go click the links you refer to, and extract the info relevant to my issue,
          I get items 1) and 2) below

Is this what you mean by ‘ALL’ or am I missing something ??

          (2) Re: Antix 19 – wifi interrupts by Huckleberry Oct 23, 2019

          No. This one.

          1. Remove connman and cmst

sudo apt-get remove --purge connman cmst connman-bluetooth-firmware-antix

          2. Delete the resolv.conf sym link in /etc/
          3. Create a new symlink in etc like this (in a terminal)

          sudo ln -s /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf

          4. Try ceni again

Since you are using antiX-19.2-base, cmst is not installed, nor connman-bluetooth-firmware-antix but you should also remove connman-ui in step 1.

          Good luck.

Download .deb package and install it with Gdebi? And there is no other way?
            Because as I wrote before

Opera need to remove – ceni, eudev, gnome-bluetooth, libeudev-dev, libeudev1, midisport-firmware and will install – bluez, libudev1, udev.

It’s not possible to install previous version?

              Ok,

              control-centre > system > package installer

, but there is no Opera there.
Opera need to remove – ceni, eudev, gnome-bluetooth, libeudev-dev, libeudev1, midisport-firmware and will install – bluez, libudev1, udev.
Is it safe to remove this packages, what I will lose with them?
Or if it’s not safe or even break whole system, is there a way to safely install Opera?
I read this How-to install applications.
There is no official Appimage of Opera, Flatpak don’t have it, there is no .run version of Opera.

Ah, thanks for compiling lpss in. I’ll have to pull out those sticks and pucks and play around.

Kultex – just a warning – not sure if you are also trying to boot from SD, Micro-SD, or eMMC or all three depending.

But just know that some devices for security reasons, have blocked the ability to boot from micro-sd (supposedly because it is so hard to see if someone has jammed one into a dinky computestick etc). For example, my early Computesticks with only 1gb on board, WILL boot linux from micro-sd. But later versions for security reasons, won’t boot from micro-sd no matter what you do. Just throwing that out so you don’t pull your hair out.

Semi-solution – small sticks and the like all have at least one usb / micro usb port from which one can hang at least a passive 2 or 4 way port on, (need keyboard and mouse at least to set up bluetooth initially usually), and boot antiX from USB on that.

And quite frankly, for the use-cases one will put these to, (light stuff), totally ignoring say the onboard emmc as either a boot device or storage device is *kinda* wasteful I guess, but with prices of monster usb sticks to boot and persist on these days – may not enough to get gray hairs over. But I get it – just throwing this out so you can get your need taken care of at the studio asap.

Hi guys, as far as standard rules are concerned, common sense, no snake oil virus scanners.
They are maybe not what you are expecting. Read up on that.

                  Switch on your firewall.

Read and impliment forum posts on making Firefox more secure. It is still
probably the best Browser security wise but not as delivered.

Go to Ghacks website and do some reading, it is excellent.
You can go to shields up website to do further reading and checks on your system.

You may wish to install use Firejail. It may need some work to have your system running smoothly.
Do install the config too. Then setup with sudo firecfg

Set a BIOS password. Do not enable Auto Login.
If others have access to your computer disable media automount.
Lock screen when you leave room.

                  Unplug Network.
Bluetooth, code in Wireless cards Intel management engine
are further things to read about.

All computer code might have vunerability, in many cases by design.

I don’t know why the TE runs bluetoothctl executes as root.
Otherwise, with antiX19 the establishment of a Bluetooth connection is no problem for me

Unfortunately for me I had to use pulseaudio instead of alsa to get my bluetooth headphones to work on antiX. Installing pulseaudio, pavucontrol and pulseaudio-module-bluetooth (apart from the general bluez, blueman, etc.) made it for me. I really haven’t investigated how to get them to work with only alsa, so this is the best I can offer.

I have a pair of bluetooth headphones I’d like to use with AntiX. The GUI that comes with AntiX was giving me problems, so I went to the Arch Wiki and
found some CLI-based instructions. However, I was unsuccessful. Here’s my session, which I managed to copy-paste from my terminal:
(Note: Device E4:0F:44:7F:D3:0A MBH539 is what I want my computer to pair with, the headphones. They’re not, of course, paired with any other device.)

Thanks for your ideas regarding sound on this very old computer. caprea and Koo, I have tried all your suggestions, but still no success.

Moddit wrote, “Hope you have sound on your device now.” Yes, we do: I purchased a bluetooth dongle for $5. Since we’re using antiX base, we had to install blueman and pulseaudio from package manager and pulseaudio-module-bluetooth from synaptic.

On the small chance that this might be useful to someone else, here’s a summary of our unsuccessful efforts to get sound with alsa:
                              1) Hardware is ok: sound with Puppylinux (kernel 2.6.30.5). Always checked for muted outputs.
                              2) Tried hundreds of combinations of module options for <b>snd-hda-intel</b>, if someone mentioned somewhere that it helped: model, position_fix, enable, enable_msi, probe_mask, single_command, bdl_pos_adj. (One guy said you have to reboot after changing module, not just restart alsa. If that is true, I wasted a lot of time) Only #stack models result in sound card detected, but no sound.
                              3) Tried kernels 4.9.160, 4.9.200, “Fallback Debian 4.9 32-bit”, 4.19.25-486 and antiX-16. As caprea noted, a guy at slackware got sound by using an LTS kernel. I would try an old kernel if someone tells me where to find it, but I’d be worried about security for permanent use.
                              4) ALC880 driver d.l. from opendrivers, techspot, touslesdrivers, drivers.eu, but each time configure or make failed with errors I don’t know how to fix.
                              5) Pulseaudio: graph shows file playing, no sound. Removed after testing.
                              6) In a 2007 post at puppylinux , hardware heavy tempestuous wrote

XMMS [has] a visual display which indicates whether audio is working at the software level. If you see the display working, then you know that the problem is either getting the mixer settings right (with alsamixer) or hardware connections. One of the problems with the snd-hda-intel driver is sending the audio output to the correct physical pin outs on the motherboard, because there are many different motherboard manufacturers who use the Intel HD codec. Because of this problem, the snd-hda-intel driver has been known to send the audio output to the WRONG connection – like the mic input, for example.

The display is showing sound, so I used <b>hdajackretask</b> to try a bunch of settings: nothing. It seems that maybe something can be done with either hda-verb or hda-analyzer.py, but I’m out of my depth there and have no idea how to proceed. I’m not afraid of breaking anything, thanks to frugal/manual save 😉

i installed ceni and removed connman :

                                1. Remove connman and cmst

sudo apt-get remove –purge connman cmst connman-bluetooth-firmware-antix

                                2. Delete the resolv.conf sym link in /etc/
                                3. Create a new symlink in etc like this (in a terminal)

                                sudo ln -s /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf

it worked but there is one problem every time after reboot i have to enter the password (ceni does not save my wifi pass)
