Hello,
Yes, I do often a “sudo apt autoremove” by a custom script (to update, and clean automatically some stuffs)Also, I have tested the newer version 7.3.2.1
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/
And did the same process with:
LibreOffice_7.3.2.1_Linux_x86-64_deb.tar.gz 12-Mar-2022 20:12 187M Details
LibreOffice_7.3.2.1_Linux_x86-64_deb_langpack_fr.tar.gz 12-Mar-2022 20:12 2.0M Details
LibreOffice_7.3.2.1_Linux_x86-64_deb_helppack_fr.tar.gz 12-Mar-2022 20:12 2.9M Details… Works great too.
PS: For x32 bits, unfortunately the latest *.deb are from the version: 6.2.8.2 (from this archive site)

Very strange.. i reinstalled the network manager on top of the one that comes with the installation. That screwed the DNS resolution apparently cos i was able to ping from the console only using ip but not to a domain name. The browser was unable to navigate. Apt was unable to download anything at all… that moment i knew i was in trouble. I reinstalled and now is working.
Congratulations on your success!
Glad it now works.

Thank you, but I already found that link a few days ago. That’s how I solved the first error I was getting. Now I have a different error, that apparently nobody has asked about in this forum. 🙁
Kind regards,

As the notifier works on user systems may I suggest to change the title to reflect the fact an unsupported desktop is affected.
That is not an antiX bug as user induced.That is a very good point, and I would edit that title myself right now, except I can’t find a link to edit the either the topic title or the original post. I’m apparently only allowed to edit my replies. Is there a way to change my topic title?
P.S. I worked on the original problem for a couple more hours, tried installing various python packages and apt recommended packages. Still not any closer to solving the problem. But I’ll keep trying.
EDIT: I was searching for how to mark a thread as solved, and I found out that there is a time limit for editing one’s original post; after that time limit is passed, only a moderator can edit the original post.

I am glad to read that the issue was solved.
Apparently felipecardope was successful; Marcelo has not indicated that his problem has been solved. Hopefully we’ll get this resolved soon for all.

Nothing visible in my control center.
It may be neccesary to run the menu manager from control center to set show for the installer.
Searching install with app select does help but may not be apparent to a new user.
Maybe a point which could be improved with minimal effort.March 8, 2022 at 4:47 pm #78782Member

Thank you very much for your screenshot, apparently it was on this computer that you performed the tutorial you kindly made available here in this topic.
As I had written at the beginning of this topic, the only change I made besides the Kernel was to correct the text of the submenu “Personal Menu Help Video” in Brazilian Portuguese. I didn’t touch these 2 desktop icons at all.
Translation from Brazilian Portuguese to English:
“Gerenciador de Arquivos” is “File Manager”
“Ajuda do antiX” is “antiX FAQ”I’m sorry for not knowing the reason that made this happen, it doesn’t make sense for the texts of the files “desktop-defaults-follow-fm.desktop” and “antiX-docs.desktop” to display the texts in a different language to the language being executed operational system.

Olá linuxdaddy e sr. Brian.

$ sudo desktop-menu –write-out-global
$ LANGUAGE=en sudo apt update
$ LANGUAGE=en sudo apt upgrade

Hello linuxdaddy and mr. Brian.
The computer that has the GeForce4 MX 440 AGP 8x video card is far from me and should arrive at my house in the next few days. I had to send another computer on loan so that the person wouldn’t have access to the internet and to the work they do with antiX.
As soon as I have access to this computer, I can try to make your tutorial. Thank you so much for teaching us how to do this step by step.

Apparently the remastered image is well designed for the Brazilian Portuguese community.It was not my intention for the ISO to keep the Brazilian Portuguese menu texts when initialized in another language. The purpose of these remastered ISOs was to try to create ways for all of us to be able to boot antiX 21 with kernel 4.4.0-296 in any of the languages available in antiX, so I didn’t just think about Portuguese speaking users of the Brazil.
I had written at the beginning of this thread that these remasters fall far short of the “pseudo-antix-19 legacy bet3 with Kernel 4.4.0-264” ISOs that @Xecure built from “Build-iso”, which I don’t have the slightest idea of how to use “Build-iso”.Linuxdaddy, if you have booted the remastered ISO in your language and even so the menus are displayed in Brazilian Portuguese language, I ask you to click on the menu “Recarregar o Menu” in pt-BR or “Update Menu” or “Refresh Menu” or “Reload the Menu” in en (I’m not sure how it’s written in English language). If it still doesn’t update the menus to the correct language, try applying the command in Terminal that Xecure taught:
$ sudo desktop-menu –write-out-global
If that doesn’t work, maybe the commands Wallon taught in the other topic can make it work, because when I used these commands, all menus started to be displayed in English in antiX initialized in Brazilian Portuguese language.
$ LANGUAGE=en sudo apt update
$ LANGUAGE=en sudo apt upgrade
If even after the commands in the terminal the menus are still displayed in Brazilian Portuguese, I will have to redo the two remastered ISOs starting with the default English language of antiX. I did not imagine that this could happen, of texts in Brazilian Portuguese language being displayed in antiX initialized in another language. That’s why I did all the steps that @ensabahnur taught me with the Brazilian Portuguese language workspace, because it would be much better for me to be able to understand each step. Now that I know the steps and I have everything written down, if I have to, I do the whole process again. I just hope that if I have to redo two more remasters (32bit and 64bit) that the menus are not permanently in English language when the ISOs are booted in other languages.
If it’s just the two desktop icons that are in Brazilian Portuguese language, the truth is that I have no idea why they are being displayed in Brazilian Portuguese instead of being displayed in the language that the remastered ISO was initialized . When I used the ISO Snapshot program to create each of the ISO images, I chose the option “Resetting accounts (for distribution to others)” (these are the texts of entries 19 and 88 of the Transifex iso-snapshot file) which I understand that equates to “Resetting root and demo user accounts and passwords (to distribute the ISO image to others)”. Mr Brian, this problem shouldn’t happen, should it? Anyway, if only the two desktop icons are displaying the texts in Brazilian Portuguese language, I imagine they are the File Manager and the antiX Help (“Gerenciador de Arquivos” and the “Ajuda do antiX” in Portuguese), the user can rename them to their respective language, but it’s something which I wouldn’t want people to have to do manually.
Just curiosity and willpower to learn are not enough, we need training, otherwise, all the knowledge acquired by the most experienced in GNU/Linux will be lost with them, when they are no longer here.

Apparently the remastered image is well designed for the Brazilian Portuguese community.
Setting the locale to something else and possibly installing any locales necessary can make the image work for yet another locale language.
That work could be remastered for someone else…

Hello Felipe.
I detected the same problem that you described in the game SuperTuxKart on the computer described in the text file attached below, I followed the same test model that you made posted. After the antiX update or the SuperTuxKart game update, I’m not sure if it was one or the other, or if it was both that were updated. The window does not open and I can only hear the game’s audio. Apparently, the problem extends to other GNU/Linux games and AppImage games that before the antiX update worked perfectly and after the update, the same AppImage no longer works.
I hope this topic is not forgotten, as I have been informed in the Telegram and WhatsApp groups that the same problem has occurred with other people. It’s really bad when problems occur and we don’t know what to do to fix them.

Curious if you tried Sparky Linux yet. Since you Like LXDE.
Actually i still don’t know if i like LXDE just yet as i’ve seen it in LIVE mode only…
Apparently i’ve downloaded SparkyLinux v6.0 because of it’s duality supporting both the i686 and x86_64 material, hoping to find ‘bootia32.efi’ in case a crude patch might prove necessary, besides also copying some /i386-efi/ resources as i vaguely reecall. Somewhere it mentioned LxQt, no big deal. FossaPup95 might have worked wonders if it could have completed its “frugal” installation, which inspired my a desire to install Ventoy on the eMMC and simply swap .ISOs around instead of enduring the whole patience-challenging process. My notes say i had to pass 4 menu levels before accessing the display settings with SparkyLinux, by the way…
Right now i wish i could better explain issues that made me move further with even more testing but this i ain’t getting any younger myself. These things can become exhausting when failures pile up and there’s no reward joys to compensate… Zorin felt promissing at 1st, still didn’t stick neither. Etc., etc.
Does some unexpected “HCi0” timeout error matter? Also, more input: how about including GrUB-Customizer as pre-installed!
Mint and Fedora too slow, Bodhi’s ‘ubi-console-setup’ utility crashed. Ubuntu Mate v20.04.3 (LTS Focal) installed fine, well enough to auto-selectect the proper screen anyway, but i removed it a couple days ago once tired of blank/black displays then BlueTooth problems. Another Lubuntu tweak is AntiVirusLiveCD v39.0 of February 20, still on the to-list so far.
Not to mention the “Extra Luxury Edition” in LXDE wasn’t exactly feeling like an invitation – i’m reading notes at random and there’s 4 ~ 5 times more to remind myself and it’s now diner time…
Salix, ZenWalk, Absolute… LibreElec, Debian Live! … Slakware v15.0 itself, etc.
Appologies again, thanks for sharing feedback while expressing enthousiasm and moral support. The guy’s energy (mine…) may just prove somewhat depleeted after having the initial climax from hope. Long ago Windows was the same and DOS before it, in any case each day needs a fair dose of victory to save our sanity.
Good day, have fun!!

Fammi sapere
