This is one of those languages that is in a way poetic and sometimes anti-poetic. It is a live social language that unless you live with it you can’t make much sense out of translating, especially word by word. But it can also be very precise, non-poetic, where a sentence can have an extremely precise meaning, almost like programming code. It is almost the reverse of English where it can never be very precise but still a simple sentence may have various interpretations. English is a practical language, I wish the whole world would put their nationalistic pride aside and get on with speaking only English. It will take away all this conflict of culture. More than half of the world’s knowledge and wisdom has already been translated to English. I know that there are programmers out there who will disagree and propose we all learn to communicate in C, but we are far from such a stage of evolution. We have to settle for our local slang.
By the way, I think we should have a bicycle/motorcycle off topic thread too. We can interpret antiX as anti-cage/car.anti-X - Adélie - obarun - systemd Free Space

Καλησπερα σε ολους και ολες.
Είμαι νέος χρήστης του antiX και μόλις το δοκίμασα ενθουσιάστηκα. Εθισμένος στα Windows για χρόνια δεν το καταλάβαινα στην αρχη, αλλά είχα δοκιμάσει εν τω μεταξύ και άλλες διανομές Linux. Τελικά όχι μόνο το εγκατέστησα στο laptop Toshiba Satellite M45 που μόλις βρέθηκε στα χέρια μου, αλλά έκανα και κάποιες τροποποιήσεις στο conky για την μετατροπή της ώρας και της ημερομηνίας όπως εγώ ήθελα. Το έχω εγκαταστήσει όμως σε αυτό το laptop σε dual mode με windows και αντιμετωπίζω ένα πρόβλημα. Όταν παω να κανω επανεκίνηση φαίνεται να <κολλάει> και σταματάει σε ένα σημείο που λέει <now we will reboot> και περιμένω εκει πολλή ώρα, μέχρι που αναγκάστηκα να το κάνω χειρωνακτικά (αυτό μόνο τις πρώτες φορές- τωρα κάνω αποσύνδεση).
Πιστεύω ότι δεν είναι κατι σοβαρό αλλά ίσως κάποια ρύθμιση που πρέπει να κανω, είτε σε κάποιο script είτε στο bios. Να σημειώσω εδώ οτι απο τα windows δεν υπάρχει τέτοιο πρόβλημα (γίνεται κανονικά η επανεκίνηση).
Όποια βοήθεια ή υπόδειξη θα ήταν ευπρόσδεκτη.

2 χρόνια σκληρής δουλειάς απ’τον mobinmob για να φτάσει σε αυτό το αποτέλεσμα, με διπλωματικές ακροβασίες για τα διάφορα στραβόξυλα της διανομής. Ξέρατε ότι το Void ήταν από τις πρώτες μη-RH διανομές που υιοθέτησαν το systemd και μετά του έδωσαν δρόμο; Ναι, προ-debian8 εποχή του χαλκού 🙂

Nice to meet you. So all of you Greek language speakers are stuck together in this place 🙂 Anybody around who would like to back up the translation team of antiX community contributions in Greek language? There are some strings which will stay untranslated otherwise:

It doesn’t count how fast or regularly somebody can help, what counts is the fun in participating and practicing the language and pride of having contributed to the community projects we all profit from. In the end it would be fine if a native speaker could have a look at the strings, so they don’t sound too unnaturally in native ears.
So, just go for it 🙂
