Have downloaded the 386 version, but it is the 64 bit version.
It always notified that it is the 64 bit version. This needs to be resolved.

::I don’t think so. I just downloaded the “full” ISO and it clearly says “IceWM 3.0.1 (Linux/i686)”. gcc is from “ftp.de.debian.org/debian bullseye/main i386 Packages”. That’s a 32-bit ISO.

I guess that you did not read my post then…
How about you read it then maybe think and possibly even boot it on a 32 bit system?
Then you will see what I am talking about.February 22, 2023 at 10:05 am #100306MemberPPC
::I think this problem was already reported – it’s a 32bits ISO, it just had a problem with it’s identification, but it’s safe to proceed and install in 32bits system.
Edit: “This needs to be resolved”
Hum… antiX is voluntary work, anticapitalista created this OS almost single handed. Things get resolved, when they get resolved, I guess… no one can “demand” anything here, just politely ask for the Dev Team to try to solve problems…P.

::If it is all good to install them it should not be saying that it is a 64 bit version that is running. Just that simple.
I have to disagree on the “single handed” but, this is a Unix based system after all, using the Linux kernel, and running a GUI made by someone else…
I understand things get resolved when they do, just saying that it does need to be resolved.
If I could fix it I would, but I have not yet investigated the code or anything like that yet. Maybe some day, if the system is good enough when I get to test it, then I would be able to assist.
Until then, we will see.

::Bye!
BTW – It does work and it is 386. It wrongly gives a 64bit message when it shouldn’t, that’s all.

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

Oh, but I did.
How about you read it
Did that. See above.
then maybe think
Not only did I think about it, but I also acted by downloading a 32-bit ISO to check formyself
and possibly even boot it
Did that. See my prior post.

I did not see what you are talking about, I saw what I reported – it is a 32-bit ISO that boots on 32-bit systems and has 32-bit packages. What you are talking about appears to be false data.

Now there is a reply that is good and I respect.
The message that is produced is just a bug in an if statement and not something that will affect the system later on.
Good to know it is only a big thanks and not something that will impact the system after installation.
Will try it again and leave it for a few hours to see if it loads.
