It’s probably just me and unaccustomed to typing much on this netbook,
but I’ve got to find a way to turn off the Acer Aspire One touchpad.
When it’s not scrolling out of sight, even worse, it just disappears!

I wrote a post and lost it 3 times before I decided to write in Geany
and then cut and paste. That was better but still too many extra steps.

Perhaps the current Firefox will be better?

If understanding you right, you like to disable your touchpad during writing.
        You could try syndaemon
        syndaemon -i 1 -d
The one is one second locking time, change it to your needs.
This will only stay till the next boot, but it’s possible to put it in the startup-file.

I wrote a post and lost it 3 times

the “Textarea Cache” firefox extension from addons.mozilla.org solves that problem

            Thanks, caprea & skidoo!
            I’ll get those.
            Regards, Richard.
