Regarding whether Yahoo is reliable or not, yes, absolutely.
When I was still working at Digital, yet considering contract work at other places, I figured, for the first time, I’d be needing personal Email accounts, so I tried out Yahoo, Excite, AOL, and a few others, but it was before the time when Google offered Email. I kept a few of those free Email accounts but I definitely liked Yahoo best.
Times have changed and a lot of stuff runs through Google, and most of my smartphones have had some kind of Google service, so like a lot of people, I have a Gmail account too. However, to this day I use Yahoo Mail for my volume Email; one thing about using these Webmail accounts; for years I’d use a local Email client; I haven’t done that in a long time, whereas a couple of decades ago, even a decade ago I still had either Seamonkey or Thunderbird Email access, and I’d import Email into them. Both Yahoo and Google are reliable enough to use without a local Email client and outages are very rare; they’re both quite a bit faster and more reliable than this forum interface has been in recent days, and offer superior average response time.
