I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 120s-11IAP and I just wiped my Windows 10 installation with AntiX installed and whenever I boot it up, the laptop instead tries to find the Windows bootloader and the system crashes even after reinstalling the OS. However when booting grub via USB, GRUB is just fine on the hard drive and AntiX boots proper. So someone please help me here! (Note yes I already know the laptop bios it uses UEFI if you’re asking)

from websearch: Lenovo IdeaPad 120s-11IAP UEFI linux

        https://www.reddit.com/r/LenovoLaptops/comments/7aedik/linux_on_lenovo_ideapad_120s11iap/

        excerpt:

Lenovo was not able to boot from usb because because some settings in BIOS didn’t allowed it. To enter in BIOS mode, press FN+F2 or do the following when you are in Windows: Open Settings -> Update and security -> Recovery -> Advanced startup -> restart now -> Troubleshoot -> Advanced options -> UEFI Firmware Settings -> Restart

BIOS settings: In the Configuration tab: USB Legacy – Enabled Wireless – Enabled BIOS Flahs Back – Disabled (Default) In the Security tab: Intel Platform Trust Technology – Disabled In the Boot tab: Boot Mode – Legacy Support Boot Priority – UEFI First USB Boot – Enabled In the Exit tab: OS Optimized Defaults – Disabled

I have just tried of that in the excerpt and nothing changed, but I have read further on the post and have not tried it yet.

Thread is over. I got it to work now. Grub boots proper now when install the os on the hard drive as esp.(note: If this doesn’t work by itself, try deleting the partitions and doing it yourself and then install.)
