Is there any way for greek text contents to be displayed by the Dillo browser?

Now, for some reason, “View bookmarks” button does nothing. Until now, it worked perfectly. I edited the bm.txt file to replace the address of the old forum by the new one, and this worked, too. Then I tried to create an “s2” (user) section and add to this the yahoo mail address, and the bookmarks button stopped working. I deleted again the last changes in the bm.txt, but the bookmarks button still does nothing.

            fonts, idunno

bookmarks, sounds like your edits introduced a syntax error, and dillo is now unable to parse the bookmarks file.
If you didn’t plan ahead & create a backup copy of the file before editing it… idunno.
You might try deleting bookmarks file (I would just rename it, move it outa the way) and check whether dillo will recreate it.
If it doesn’t regenerate the missing file, maybe a clean copy exists under /etc/skel/… (Nope. I checked https://packages.debian.org/stretch/amd64/dillo/filelist )
…purge/reinstall and start afresh, squeaky clean.

suggestion: post an exact url, asking: “please view this page using dillo and tell me whether you too see ‘broken’ text/font

I don’t think anymore it has to do with something I have done. Not only because the bookmarks file seems very simple and I can’t imagine what syntax error I could have done, but mainly because the bookmarks button seems to be inactive in the compaq laptop, too. I’ve installed antiX-17-base to it recently and I’ve never played with the bookmarks file in it.

                What about this one?

                    lol
Well, greek text is displayed like this on google site. I tested it to three different machines. On the other hand, the contents of several greek sites are displayed right. Duckduckgo search results are OK, too.

Ahem, well, it seems there is a syntax error I could have done and I suppose I’ve done it. A blank line at the end of the bookmarks file seems to be necessary. I suppose I missed it when I used the desktop computer, but I only can check it after about two weeks from today. Later today, I’ll check if this is the case at the compaq laptop.

It is. Last line of the bookmarks file is

                        s1 file:/usr/share/antiX/equivalents.html/ antiX-equivalents

A blank line after that is necessary and it’s missing. I verified it with the live-cd, too. System info:

                        $ inxi -S
                        System: Host: antix1 Kernel: 4.10.5-antix.1-486-smp i686 bits: 32

I try to sign in to yahoo mail, but this message appears:

“Please enable cookies in your browser and sign in again. Tap here to learn more.”

I added “.yahoo.com” to /.dillo/cookiesrc file, but the message appears again. I click the “Tap here to learn more” link, and the opening page contains this message:

“You need to have JavaScript enabled to use this page. To enable JavaScript, follow these instructions.”

But there are not instructions about dillo browser.
