      This readout is from my Chromebook. I had dist-upgraded earlier. I accepted pkg maint ver = y and then tested to see if any changes. No harm no foul.
      Usually. The file designation < .old > is your original. The one saved in case you get nervous.

      harry@biker:~
      $ cd /etc/apt/
      harry@biker:/etc/apt
      $ ls
      apt.conf  apt.conf.d  auth.conf.d  preferences.d  sources.list.d  trusted.gpg.d
      harry@biker:/etc/apt
      $ cd sources.list.d
      harry@biker:/etc/apt/sources.list.d
      $ ls
      antix.list             debian.list.dpkg-old        various.list
      buster-backports.list  debian-stable-updates.list
      debian.list            onion.list
      harry@biker:/etc/apt/sources.list.d

      My test below with new list in place resulted in no changes what so ever.

      I wasn’t sure about backports being turned on. No harm, no foul.

        Why I mentioned backports. Below is original from install.

            buster-backports repo is now included and enabled.

            However, it is clever enough not to upgrade any app from buster-backports unless specifically told to do so.

            Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

            antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.
