      @Moddit
      Thank you very much for all your time and effort to help me!

      I will continue to find a solution for that problem.
      In the meantime it would be fine, if the antix developer team could at least
      give the Antix-Thunar the ability to open things as root.
      As MX does

        Check the /etc/fstab configuration for your hard-drive.

        chown needs to be done to the mountpoint, not the dev path.

        Again, mount the device with thunar and run

        echo $(findmnt -n /dev/sdb1)

        This will give all the configuration on how the device is mounted and to where.
        If you only want the mountpoint:
        findmnt -no TARGET /dev/sdb1

        Then use chown on that mountpoint,

          Hi,

          I disconnected and did not read it in the evening (according to local time in the Czech Republic).
          5) Full-path to the mount-point is anything (reasonable) you wish; I usually use ‘/data/’.
          I.e. I create a new folder at the root-level.
          This is not something that the program ‘lsblk’ outputs, this is something that you choose.

          Hope that helps!

            Antix-Thunar the ability to open things as root

            Not a fix but sometimes useful.

            enter sudo thunar in console same goes for rox

            be careful using file manager as root or su is very powerful, can quickly wreck your system.

              @Moddit
              Thank you again!
              Now I can save pictures etc. from my external hard drive to this built-in DATA-drive
              and leave the external drive at home 😉

              Off course I would never use sudo thunar for my system hard drive.

              Greetings
              Karl

                I will try this in the evening.
                German time, probably the same time zone as in the Czech Republic.
