      How do you add application launch symbols to the desktop, or panel for that matter, in Fluxbox?
      Or do you, e.g. Is it possible? If I could just add a launcher for Opera, Geany, Mcomix, Okular, Calibre, and a calculator…?
      Also, is it possible to install VLC, or does it require some SystemD Shim?

        Use a space or rox option and drag a desktop file to the desktop. Or use add-desktop. The desktop files can be found in /usr/share/applications or in the case of personal ones for the personal menu ~/.local/share/applications.

          In the fluxbox menu, you can add a line like this to open several items in one click.

          [exec] (All At Once) {thunar & geany & urxvt}

          You may add as many as you like, remembering to put the & symbol between the programs.

            Yes, you can install vlc. There’s a nosystemd version for the stable and the testing-repos.
