Forum › Forums › New users › New Users and General Questions › [SOLVED] Add icon to desktop? Antix 17.2 rox-icewm
Hello,
I have search the web and forums for that with no success.
How do I put icons on my ROX desktop?
It’s pretty easy! To add icons linking to devices, applications, folders and files to the desktop simply drag and drop from within ROX-Filer.
from AntiX rox FAQ
Rox-Filer will show my home dir. With SpaceFM I can get to / but cannot seem to find LibreOffice Writer to add its icon to the desktop.
Any piece of advice is appreciated in advance,
you can navigate anywhere you want with rox.
most applications are in /usr/share/applications. just drag the corresponding .desktop file to the rox desktop.
there is an example in the video I posted on basic setup. its in the Tips & Tricks section of the forum.

In rox-filer click on the arrow on the left upper side and go to /usr/share/applications
From there you can drag and drop
