[SOLVED] Additional IceWM Themes – Please

Having been thrown now into IceWM as desktop I am trying to make the best (under circumstances) experience so first seems to find the most functional and visually aesthetic theme. I admit it is a matter of personal preference though…
Are there any IceWM themes in addition to the ones built into antiX and how do I install them?
Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for such trivial ask. It is not that I am not doing some searches myself. What I mean is some recommendation of clean and crisp looking themes to add (I am not not sure how to install though…)

There are plenty of themes available.

In addition to all of this it is possible to download any images and use them as your background on any work surface or background.

Question:
Executing the following from the following sequence as the process to install on that page…
$> git clone https://github.com/bbidulock/icewm-extra-themes.git
$> cd icewm-extra-themes
$> ./autogen.sh
$> ./configure –prefix=/usr –sysconfdir=/etc
$> make V=0
$> make DESTDIR=”$pkgdir” install

This failed on:
$ ./autogen.sh
./autogen.sh: 40: ./autogen.sh: autoreconf: not found

So far execution was OK:
$ git clone https://github.com/bbidulock/icewm-extra-themes.git

I would install the one from the repo’s instead of from source

icewm-themes-extras-antix

sudo apt update && sudo apt install icewm-themes-extras-antix

BTW, You will find that many of the Box Look.org ones are not in the repos. You need to download and install those ones differently. I put those in ~/.icewm/themes on my system

I looks like I have already installed these through Synaptic. And I do not see too many additional.
Github refers to that package as ‘numerous’.
‘This is a set of extra themes for IceWM that were too numerous to include in the base IceWM release.’

Are these extra from the repo ‘icewm-themes-extras-antix’ the same set as ‘icewm-extra-themes-1.2’ in Github or this a subset?

I would think you could take the subdirectories of the data directory, and just copy them into ~/.icewm/themes just like you would if they were from box look

There are probably 500 themes to choose from, but if you can’t find one you really like, maybe you can find one where almost all of the colors are good, and then change the one bad color.

I kind of like the themes by Marcus Moeller such as Trisquel, but after installing this theme (same with some others) I am not getting the same icons on the right side of the taskbar. I am getting default icons, as well as the same start menu icon not as in the pictures. I have just been copying themes into /IceWM/themes folder, so perhaps I need to do something in addition?
It is a good learning IceWM lesson for me overall. And I must admit IceWM does not need to be crude and amateurish as it looked to me before (so I apologize for my prior too quick statement). However it seems not easy to find clean and crisp, professionally looking theme…

I’m the “form, fit and function” person, not the “artsy” or “stylish” one, and therefore just tend to try to find something close to what I want and tweak a little.

You’ll have ty try to figure out how/where the theme you don’t like but has good icons gets them, and change the theme you do like to get those icons instead.
