When a friend plays this game on his laptop, it suddenly freezes and immediately the computer shuts down improperly. It doesn’t seem having to do with cpu temperature. It happens in firefox and in palemoon, too.

What does abput:plugins in firefox say?

Mine on this I5 Dell E4310 laptop

        Shockwave Flash

            File: libflashplayer.so
            Path: /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so
            Version: 28.0.0.137
            State: Enabled
            Shockwave Flash 28.0 r0

I install my flashplayer manually though instead of the way other members do

By the way. PacMan did not crash on my Firefox ESR on this laptop.

Also. This computer crash stuff makes me wonder if the ~/.mozzila folder has been compromised with a sketchy p;lugin of some sort.

I would follow these instructions also.

It doesn’t seem to have to do with mozilla. It happens in Chromium, too. This laptop has various hardware problems and sometimes in the summer it shuts down because of overheating. But the current problem is different. It happens only during the game and, after an immediate reboot, the cpu temperature is about 47C.

Your problem is the Bay Trail Graphic. It has some problems with Linux.
Have a look on this web page, I’m sorry its in German.

On my Mint system I define a new “cstates”-services for systemd. I use antix only on my EEEPC and I don’t know if antix uses systemd too.

Sounds like a heat problem. Not with the cpu itself, but the graphics chip. It appears that without the proper hardware driver for the video chip Adobe Flash will try to overwork the chip, causing it to heat up. And on a laptop, that can be dangerous to the chip.

It even does happen on desktops too. Some of the newer drivers for video chips are dropping the ball and not properly updating the firmware. I have had to go back to older video card firmware drivers to stop my desktop from overheating and shutting down.

How can I verify it? Is there any command to display the graphics chip temperature? I used the “sensors” command and I suppose that this displays the cpu temperature. I’ll have the chance to test things on that laptop after a week or more, but it’ll help to know from now on what I’ll have to test, because of the time margins.

The Bay Trail Graphic has problems with the cstates. These are any energy-levels-options of the cpu, I don’t know it exactly, but you have to disable the cstates C6 and C7.
Use you favorite search engine and type in
                    Bay Trail Linux freeze
You will find a lot of issues.
