::That’s bad news.
I assume you are using antiX-17.3.1 and default stretch repos (you didn’t give any information)Are you 100% sure that eudev is causing the issues and not a failed download?
Try apt-get dist-upgrade and apt-get -f install.
If still no luck, go to this link and download the debs you need for your arch via dpkg

Hey LS650V,
When I ran synaptic to update eudev, the installer
messaged me to indicate that the newer package would use
the more cryptic device names for network stuff. It said
that I should add the option:net.ifnames=1
to my boot command line in order to use the old-style
device names. So, I added that kernel option after the
‘ro’ option in the “linux” line of my /boot/grub/grub.cfg
file.I’m not certain that this kind of thing would also
cause sound problems, but it seems plausible.George gbarrick@kent.edu

::gbarrick,.
I gave your recommendation a try, unfortunately it did not fix my problem. Thanks for the suggestion.March 1, 2019 at 2:49 pm #18991MemberLS650V
::anticapitalista,
apt-get dist-upgrade and apt-get -f install did not indicate there were any issues. I next tried your suggestion about eudev-3.2.6 downgrade using dpkg. This fixed the problem, I now have audio and a network connection. There is a compatibility problem with the recent update and my system, which is a frugal install.Host: antix1

::I also run 32 bit antiX-17 as a frugal install, and, for me, there were no issues with the eudev upgrade.
Can you post a full report of your hardware ie inxi -v8
