      Hi,

AntiX 17.3 (x86) is one of the few distros that is still willing to run on this (very) old and a bit exotic hardware.
The Via C3 is i586 compliant, but lacks the PAE instruction set.

I’m reinstalling this board as the respinned CentOS 6.8 has outlived its usefullness, and is no longer supported in anyway.
I was using this board as a IP-PBX server, and in order to protect my data a little I have 2 30GB 2.5″ drives in there that were partitioned: 1GB Swap, 27GB Linux Raid and both 27GB partitions were then lumped together in a Raid 1 drive, on which the system was installed.

Is it possible to do something similar with AntiX 17.3?
Currently I have burned the netInstall version on a CD from which I’m booting, but getting another version would be no problem …

      Sincerely,
      Jurgen

Some prior forum topics have have mentioned various issues related to older hardware.
Here are a few candidate search keywords: PAE, SS2, (or the name of whatever graphics chipset)
