AntiX 17.4 (full) LiveUSB worked on two kits, but it doesn’t work on this celeron one (see below). After loading, the cursor seems dead, and I only can use the combo <Alt + PrtSc + type “reisub”> to reboot. Adding the line “needs_root_rights=yes“ to /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config didn’t help.

::You post mentions antiX Full on 2 kits…
yet the inxi output shows “antiX-17_386-base“The LiveUSB doesn’t work on the celeron kit, so I ran the “inxi” command from the installed (base) system. See below the output from LiveUSB on one of the kits that it works:

::After loading, the cursor seems dead …
Did you also try to wait a couple of minutes upon loading to see if it makes any difference?
One other idea might help:
Try booting your Live USB on another machine and try to get some more appropriate Kernel.
LTS 3.16 or 4.4 would probably be the better choice in your case.March 25, 2019 at 2:39 pm #19711Moderator

::Did you try to boot in save video mode ?
It’s the second line on the live-boot screen. The kernel is already running OK on your base-installation on this hardware.

::I waited several minutes, but I saw no difference. Neither safe video mode makes any difference. And, as caprea wrote, this same kernel runs OK on the installed system.
