      I am not gonna give a step by step with screenshots on this one. Dolphin Oracles youtube channel has that already covered.

      This is a touchscreen 9 inch netbook. The kernel picks up the plastic pen on this screen out of the box. Specs:

      Gucv picks up webcam out of the box. Wireless in inxi report confused the hell out of wicd and conky. But no b ig deal for me.

      Firefox has been manageable so far on this intel atom single core N270 cpu. I have 2 gig of ram so ram is not a choke point. I’ll probably install seamonkey later on using the package installer in the antix control center > system > package installer.

      Just a fresh install on a saturday night. I see no breakage on anything yet. I’ll upload my apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade text file I made for any interested parties to see how it went.

      All in all . Good choice4 of distro on a single core atom netbook. No matter what the ram you have available. If a touchscreen like mine. That should work also.

      Now out to bike shop for me. Cuz it is beer thirty.

        Wireless interface changed over night while I slept.

        $ sudo ifconfig -a
        eth0: flags=4099<UP,BROADCAST,MULTICAST>  mtu 1500
        <snip>

        Back to editing conky again.

            More useful commands as I tweak this install. I set default browser in antix control center> Desktop > Preferred Applications from Firefox 52 ESR to Seamonkey 2.48.

              Since media reader posts are being posted in the forum. I figured I would show my sd card reader slot on this net book working.

              The volume not unmounted properly message is from me re-seating the sd flash drive out of my camera into the net book slot. 1st time. It did not registrar as plugged in. According to unplug removable device icon in the icewm taskbar. Hardware snafu of some sort probably. I am gonna ignore the fsck warning.

              Anyways. It automounted fine the 2nd time.

                  Yeah. Wicd is telling me 100% at 150MB per second. My next thread on my Emachine I am starting went fast as hell on dist-upgrade. This shop computer is now my fastest wireless box. Even faster than my wireless N laptops in the house.
