::GREAT! I was hoping that the software would be available by this evening when I can install it, and as I anticipated, it’s already available.
I look forward to using it as soon as I get the opportunity to obtain it and install it.

::Installed new baby (17) yesterday ready for a test run on support machine. Will kick it around for a day or two before rolling out to supported clients. Looks really nice thus far. Thanks Anti & the whole team for (yet again) your outstanding work in putting this little gem together.

::anybody tried the nvidia-installer, and did it work?
Dolphin, FWIW,
On my Thinkpad W701 it worked correctly installing no backports got me the 340.102-1 for NVIDIA Quadro FX2800 G92GLM (chip-ID:10de:061d) for Direct Render.
However, on my Thinkpad W520, while the Intel was working with the 3.3 Mesa 13.0.6 for Direct Render, for NVidia GF106GLM Quadro 2000m (chip-ID:10de:0dda) the NVidia driver installer in the Control Center tried to install the no backports NVidia 375.82-1deb9u1 driver but and looked like it would work but upon reboot it get this:
"[ 3.740762] udevd[230]: Error running install command for nvidia"and then it wouldn’t start x at all and was purely command line! (I remember trying this on RC-1 and even the 340.102 didn’t work in the same way)
So I rebooted hit the blue Thinkvantage button and then F1 to go to the BIOS configuration and changed the Display options from NVidia Optimus (recommended for Win7) to Discrete and then it rebooted normally (I didn’t try the Integrated option here to see what happened). So, in summary, I had a switchable integrated/discrete graphics issue with the proprietary drivers that the default Intel Sandybridge integrated drivers didn’t have with Mesa.
I might be reaching or wrong here but I think you said in one of your videos you have a Thinkpad T530 or W530 so that’s only 1 generation newer so if this happened this might be the issue, if that is why you’re asking…

::Dolphin FWIW, in summary, my Thinkpad W701 worked with the Control Center tool to NVidia 340.102 but W520 initially didn’t work (and in fact wrecked x altogether) with 375.82 until I changed my BIOS Display settings to from NVidia Optimus to Discrete (ThinkpVantage and F1 on reboot) then everything worked again (I think you said in a video you have a Thinkpad W530 or T530 (?) which is pretty close so just in case that’s why you’re asking but I might be reaching in my guess about why you’re asking).

::I ordered antiX 17 from OSDisc, and I expect to get it in the mail some time next week. That way, even if I don’t have a lot of “free time” available to do the download and the installation, I’ll have a handy live image available that I can use to either install or run live. So when I get the shipment, I’ll be able to try it out even if I don’t have much free time, and I’ll also have it handy, both as backup and as a source for building antiX.
Looking forward to using the final released version. Again, thanks to everyone who contributed to the ideas, research, development, documentation, and testing of antiX 17!

I downloaded antiX 17 Base, even though I’ve already ordered antiX 17 Full from OS Disc. I wanted, at the very least, to be able to run it Live. I’m running it live and it is working fine.
