        On my ancient IMAC 5.1 after converting the full iso so that it would boot the cd on the imac5.1 to run live, would only start in safe mode, then installed ran update-grub on my antix16 install and now boots perfectly. Great job guys so far no blips. If anyone is interested in the conversion of the iso let me know and I will post a link to the info.

            I don’t leave systems on any more; there are all mobile systems, either laptops or hand held devices. But I’ve been able to leave on Linux or UNIX servers for ridiculously long times; I think I’ve seen ones where the overall system was segmented into multiple virtual machines, and some of them were running for well over a year, and the virtual infrastructure they were running in had probably been running for a couple of years!

            But uptimes in days, weeks, or months are common on systems that have solid engineering behind them.
