      The hash for the full.iso I downloaded from sourceforge is NOT correct:

      $ md5sum antiX-19.2_386-full.iso
      f5263355dff2df6103c3d0a6db608d4b  antiX-19.2_386-full.iso

        I just downloaded it from SourceForge and it was ok

        md5sum antiX-19.2_386-full.iso
        6841ad41f0d848ae981e2c7b8f9027b1  antiX-19.2_386-full.iso

          It’s crazy. I get a different hash each time:

          $ md5sum antiX-19.2_386-full.iso
          dc040a589b1fd3ed3db33331ca24ccbb  antiX-19.2_386-full.iso
          presario@presario:~/Downloads
          $ md5sum antiX-19.2_386-full.iso
          6d3ee5c0804a43bde05c1ba1cc2cbd7c  antiX-19.2_386-full.iso
          presario@presario:~/Downloads
          $ md5sum antiX-19.2_386-full.iso
          5f6ca4cf5cd434e2eea02c204cb9a4ab  antiX-19.2_386-full.iso

          As regards the 19.2.1 base live CD, X doesn’t start. After I try to start it manually, a “Xauthority does not exist” and a “xinit: server error” is the result in both laptops.

            Sounds like you have hardware issues.

              I found some solution and I need your opinion if it’s a secure one.
              First, I replaced the 4.9.212 kernel with the 4.4.212 one. This fixed the issue with hashes and made all the system less “heavy” and faster. I should have tried this earlier. I had already used the 4.4 kernel in both laptops with antiX-19, because the 4.9 one had caused boot problems to both of them, every time I rebooted being connected to the internet, either wired or wirelessly. 4.4 kernel had helped me to overcome these problems.
              Second, I installed connman-gtk and this makes me capable to send this post via wireless connection.
              Everything seems to be ok. Should I leave it as it is?

                Good news!

                If you still have the original 4.9.212 kernel, you could boot using it and see if all is now ok.
                Just for testing purposes (for me) and to see if the issue was a bad download.
                Otherwise, stick with the 4.4 kernel. It is supported until Feb, 2022

                  I rebooted using 4.9.12 kernel and the wifi connection is ok. Expected, because the fully-featured connman-gtk and not the kernel is what helped on that issue. As regards the issue about hashes, the problem remains. Then, still being connected to the net, I tried to reboot using 4.9.12 kernel again, and I faced a black screen. There was nothing else to do but shutdown by pressing the power button. So, the old boot problems remain, too. Finally, I rebooted using the 4.4.12 kernel and everything seems to be ok.
                  Tell me if you need any more tests, otherwise I’ll uninstall the 4.9.12 kernel, so as to boot automatically using the 4.4.12 one. Of course, I can install it again, if new tests become necessary.

                    No need for more tests. Thanks and now you can finally enjoy antiX-19.2!
