If you open the files in there as root in an editor just add the 2 lines for icewm in
each one then it shows up and works fine.
I ran update menu afterwards too.

If you edit preferences via the new menu option, then you need to save it via the new menu save option, then you need to restart IceWM.

But if you go look at the preferences file, you will find that it added a new entry at the bottom, but didn’t remove the old entry for that setting up above.

        This is repeatable.

Regarding starting isomount from the menu: it wouldn’t run. So I ran it in the terminal, and it shows this (regarding gui mode):

            @cristophe,

Isomount from the menu didn’t but from the terminal I had to
be in the same directory as the iso image and type the name after
the isomount command then it worked.
The menu options for isomount, isomount, and chroot-rescue did nothing
but from the terminal in the same directory worked typing the iso name
            with isomount & isoumount.
I attached a pic of what I installed to use gui mode for iso images.
It’s acetoneiso and the thunar filemanager on antix-19-a2

conky memory used shows 546M while ps_mem.py shows 270MiB
Machine uptime seven days seventeen hours. The conky shows memory used keeps climbing, so went to compare ps_mem.py stats current compare to startup. anomalies are
              spacefm start = 41.2 current = 100.1 [htop=125]
              volumeicon start = 17.2 current = 6.0 [htop=18]
              wpa_supplicant start = 3.2 current = 5.5 [htop=8]
              lxterminal start = 29.7 current = 16.5 [htop=34]

the conky seems erroneous, but what is happening with spacefm? What can be investigated?
              and does connman use wpa_supplicant?

((in C Centre the icons look nice. the rocket icon is really cute for startup!
modem ppp could be a telephone?))

As far as the menus go … I think I should’ve hit keep instead of letting
update replace them. But as it was a clean install – I hadn’t changed anything.
If someone wants to check if keeping the menus during updates keeps icewm in
the other desktop list in the menus on a clean update/upgrade.

Sorry for posting my reply about antiX-19.b1 here, but the isn’t any topic for it yet. (I hope you will move this post there.)
                    * With the boot parameter toram when loadin the ISO with Grub directly (haven’t tried a live USB, yet) I get the error:
Create toram tmpfs at /live/to-ram (1115 MB)
                    /bin/mount -t tmpfs -o size=1115m,noatime tmpfs /live/to-ram
Will copy files from /live/iso-file/antiX to /live/to-ram/antiX. Please be patient ...
                    cp -a /live/iso-file/boot /live/iso-file/EFI /live/iso-file/version /live/to-ram
                    Copy failed. Cannot do toram
                    Error: /init: line 219: prog_cp: not found
                    initrd.log is attached.

                    * Fluxbox with papirus-antix looks great!
                    * All menu entries open, Applications -> System Tool not tested (too many).
                    * Personal -> Personal Help Video gives an error, screenshot attached.

                      * I got the same error with a live USB on a different machine (Lenovo idepad 110S netbook)
                      Error: /init: line 219: prog_cp: not found
EDIT I forgot to mention explicitely that it didn’t happen with a1/a2.

                      * Both wpa_gui and ceni don’t find any connections. In Connman Settings I needed to enable WiFi first then the connections appeared. I think Connman Settings should be also in the Internet submenu.

                      * Is it possble make the live system set the keyboard layout according to the boot menu options selected? keytable=xy
I had to do it from CC.
