::Quick question – should we still include ceni on the iso?
If it will play nice with your preferred connman, yes, but if it is going to be a source of conflict, then maybe we should drop it, (even though I personally prefer it).
The only problem then is that if someone then installs ceni & ends up having trouble, we end up with the same problem. 🙂
As long as I can get my wifi up & running without problems, I’m happy to go with the flow. 😉

::I’m a ROXterm fan, but the default “Tango” colorscheme doesn’t make a good first impression, IMO (too little contrast, it appears faded or washed-out)
I like RoxTerm’s “Default” color scheme instead of the “Tango”, but I have always liked RoxTerm in general.

::fluxbox is a mature project. It is relatively bug-free and arguably feature-complete ~~ therefore we should not expect to see frequent updates. FYI, the latest commit was April 2019, consisting of a tiny tweak to the docs.
Thanks for clarification. Looks like terminology was incorrect. It is maintained then, just not further improved. I am not a developer (although used to be), just a user of Fluxbox/antiX so would you mind telling me:
The fact it is so difficult to implement newer style mini icons (particularly round ones) in Fluxbox/antiX comes from the fact Fluxbox is not supporting newer icon formats (SVG?) just old bitmap formats. So is this not that Fluxbox had been stabilized and no longer evolves to support newer formats, or is the way it is integrated in antiX? I apologize for my lack of understanding of this difficulty although I have read relevant posts in alpha section…Live antiX Boot Options (Previously posted by Xecure):

Both with unetbootin and antix-usb-makerSomething is horribly wrong. My bet is a file got named incorrectly to antiX-19.b1_x64-full.iso. The md5 for the real 19.b1 iso file is:
343c2f0ad8ea36d73459c2ee4222522e
You can use the md5sum program to check the md5 of the iso file you’re using. If the md5 matches and you still get this problem then my last guess is there is another usb-stick or partition or something that you are booting from. There are a number of ways to get the error message you got but I don’t understand how it could happen if you are using the iso file we distributed.Context is worth 80 IQ points -- Alan Kay

::For anyone interested in IceWM, I noticed that the standard preference file is missing a lot of the newer options, and so what I did is to take a generic new format preferences file, and merge it one line at a time with the 19b1 standard antiX preferences file, and while doing it, I also got vertical and horizontal maximize keys working as well as WinArrange, tweaked the clock, and hooked in the CPU and Network monitors for Calcurse, LxTask and Connman. I listed all the non-antiX standard changes up at the top, and if anticapitalista wants, I will offer to remove any he doesn’t like and provide a clean file for use here.

::fluxbox lack of support for SVG is not specific to antiX implementation.
FWIW, I suspect that many fluxbox users opt to disable display of icons in menu and toolbar, so wouldn’t notice whether or not it supports SVG.Among the 55 fluxbox forks, I’ve never noticed anyone bothering to link against libsvg. I have steered clear of SVG b/c it is not an IMAGEFILE format; it is a document container format, ala PDF, and (arguably) presents a vulnerability vector.
“no longer evolves to support newer formats”
I suppose that’s a valid assessment. I’ve never heard a peep of interest toward the prospect of fluxbox supporting webP imagefiles or HEIF imagefiles…June 16, 2019 at 12:19 am #23075Member

Now
Only to RAM does not work
When I boot the USB directly, it seems to work.
This is what I get now.Error: /init: Line 1: Prog_cp: Not Found
Copy Failed.
Cannot do Toram.June 16, 2019 at 1:11 am #23076Forum Admin

Cannot do Toram. That’s a know bug due to a typo I made. You can work around it by enabling tsplash with the cheat:
splasht=fvn
The toram copy with a progress bar will happen on the splash screen. The “t” at the end of splasht is not a typo. You should replace “splash=v” with “splasht=fvn”.Context is worth 80 IQ points -- Alan Kay

::Re Fluxbox – personally I don’t care if there are icons in the menus or not, & probably others may share my thoughts, I use it as a ‘basic’ WM, as I would if it were replaced by Openbox, etc, it’s a more useful variant than TWM. 🙂

::Anticapitalista, Sorry, I found a mistake in my preferences file. My key choice for the KeyWinMaximizeVert was poor, so I revised it to be Alt+Ctrl+Up which has never been assigned. I put KeyWinMaximizeHoriz back to unassigned, the same as it was in antiX and by the IceWM devs. I can’t see much use for it normally. WinGrid provides a full wide window in either the top or bottom half of the screen already.
Attached is the revised file.

::I tried the 19-b1 today in a live session from USB. I used MX Live USB to create using 32-bit iso.
The initial boot is good and everything seems snappy and clean. I like the new default wallpaper but I think the selection of choices for wallpaper is too limited.
I used the new connman program for wifi and it worked beautifully. I usually use Ceni but did not even attempt it yet due to what I had already read on the forum.
I like to increase the font size from 96 to 120. When I used the Control Center app to increase the font size I ended up with an unusable screen. Some of the entries disappeared from the Control Center panel and I could not open the font size app to try and revert back to 96 dpi. I rebooted to get back to the standard 96 dpi and everything is working fine again.
I will stay with 96 dpi while I continue to test out this new version just so I can avoid screen problems while I look around.
On the IceWM menu there is a “Preferences” entry just above Themes. There is also a Preferences entry at the bottom of the Applications menu. It’s a little confusing that they are named the same.
But so far I like the new version. Thanks for continuing to provide a 32-bit option.
