::Not sure if you bookmarked this yet or not after you get something to boot and install.

Edit: My bad. I missed the part where you said you are running manjero on that rig.

::Hello,
Thanks for the help and ideas. (I’m getting used to that on this forum, and it’s part of the antiX fun).
dubs120 : thanks, but different case here since other OS boots well
Xecure : I can boot 32 bits 5.5 kernel live USB on other laptops without any issue. I follow the “normal” path with new kernel install, remaster, live kernel-updater.
Rokytnji : Thanks for the link – I don’t know how to deal with this debian tip, as it urges to use debian installer which we don’t have on a antiX live USB.
Since I failed with 32b Antix 19 live USB on my newer laptop (Dell XPS 7590), I tried a new 64b live USB. The result is a little better : after the boot options screen, the boot begins and stops when it comes to X and slim. I want to try with a 5.5 kernel. A first attempt failed. I installed 5.5 kernel, remastered and then use live kernel-updater. But this live USB still boots on the initial 4.9 kernel. I will keep you udpated.

::Hello,
I was able to boot an antiX 19 live USB on my new laptop (Dell XPS 7590), with a 64 bits antiX and a 5.5 kernel. It works without any issue, and does not need any boot option. It’s great, thank you antiX to be an OS able to boot on a 15 years old PC as well as a brand new laptop. You just have to experiment by yourself, but hey, it’s part of antiX fun, isn’t it ?
I had tried :
– 32 bits antiX + 5.5/4.19/4.9 kernel : black screen after boot screen
– 64 bits antiX + 4.9 kernel : black screen after beginning of the boot process (when it comes to Xorg)And I tried several boot options with no luck (failsafe…)
