::This suggestion works fine for me:

::My guess is that olsztyn already tried this, as it was recommended also by you in the other thread, but for what I understood (in this current thread) it didn’t work, so a different theory was provided.

I saw this on the Internet. Might work, might not. Can you try opening chrome in a terminal with the following.
google-chrome –disable-features=SendMouseLeaveEventsFrankly I do not recall the exact details of testing this in the past but I just quickly retested disabling SendMouseLeaveEvents and at the first glance it appears that drop-down menus do work when this is done.
Similarly (and perhaps SendMouseLeaveEvents are disabled in these cases by default) when switching to a different WM and coming back to IceWM drop-down menus start to work in IceWM.If this is a workaround, I am fine with this.
Just to emphasize, I would have put up with no workaround for IceWM as well as there are other WMs, where Chrome/Chromium works… So my raising this issue was just for information sake, rather than asking team for a solution.
If this issue starts bothering other users, however, it would make sense to post this workaround somewhere permanent…

::The link I posted above shows the same issue (on fluxbox in those posts) on several different distros.
The initial issue was reported in 2017. It got fixed at some point it seems and now it is back.
This means it is not an antiX issue so we cannot fix it.Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::Another workaround eg this forum and fluxbox/google-chrome.
On Forum drop down menu, right-click an option eg Latest topics – Open in new tab.
This is one weird bug.

Understood. To clarify, I did not exactly point finger to antiX. I just pointed out that this issue exists only on IceWM and Fluxbox. On other WMs, such as JWM – all works fine. There were no thoughts offered by experts as to what could account for this.
Another workaround eg this forum and fluxbox/google-chrome.
On Forum drop down menu, right-click an option eg Latest topics – Open in new tab. Thanks for the workarounds.
I tried all these workarounds and in the course of testing I have found still another workaround, which so far seems to me the most convenient and quick:
– On IceWM once drop-menu items do not work – switch session to JWM (via Other Desktops). Browser can be open.
– Switch back to IceWM (again Other Desktops).
– IceWM starts working fine going forward in result. I mean Chrome/Chromium starts working correctly on IceWM…If this issue was reported for other distros then I am confident this will be fixed on Chrome/Chromium soon anyway, so these workarounds will not be needed…
Just to add in case it matters:
This above issue with drop-down menus on IceWM and Fluxbox occurs only on antiX 21. On antiX 19.4 it works fine with exactly the same Chrome version 94.0.4606.81.Thanks again and Regards.
P.S.:
To me antiX 21 is golden. No outstanding issues that I can see, since the above issue does not belong in antiX. In my experience it is ready for prime time…- This reply was modified 1 year, 6 months ago by olsztyn.

::any news regarding a specific date for the release of antiX 21?
End of the month may be as close as we can get + or – 2 to 3 days.
We are currently in “Beta 2” testing. Depending on the success of the testing, we’ll probably have 1 or 2 “release candidates”. If RC 1 is a success, it could be released with little or no change, but if we have any lingering issues, I’m almost positive that anticapitalista will not release, unless the issues are cosmetic and very low impact.
Maybe anti can give you a better answer, but that’s pretty close to what I expect to “hear”.

::Mr Brian, I hope the anti-capitalist can wait as long as possible until the last days of the month so that maybe he can give more time and make the most of the ongoing translations of various programs and in various languages. There are several jobs running simultaneously and I would very much like translations and revisions of the latest translations to be available in the new ISOs. Until the 31st at 11:59 pm will still be the month of October (laughs).

::rox-filer won’t mount some partition.
On a single hdd I have 2 other partitions betaMX21 and antix19 (both ext4) alongside antix21 root.
All the partitions were mounted by rox-filer with no issues before. Now (after recent update) rox-filer fails to mount mx21beta partition:
mount: /media/betaMX21: can't find UUID=e104f49a-ff46-4454-abe9-8829efd8811Although antix19 partition can be mounted by rox-filer as it used to.
Now I can only access betaMX21 via “sudo zzzfm”

::Would another user please check if Live USB maker Clone a running live system is working for them.
Just to make sure it is not just some weirdness on my system.Bullseye beta live fully updated. Clone not working. Does not get past first window.
I had never noticed/used the function. Tried with two USB Stick pairs fail.
