If I open a file in ROXTerm in antix21 with
vi filename
the I get weird characters when I hit the insert key (i).
/usr/bin/vi points to /etc.alternatives/vi which points to /usr/bin/vim.tiny
But when I open the file like this
/usr/bin/vim.tiny filename
then the editor works just fine and as expected. No weird characters….
This strange behavior did not happen in antiX 19 even though the symlinks are exactly the same as in antiX21. What is going on?
Sincerely,
Lars.
