::Yup, I tried it too; when /etc/updatedb.conf has PRUNE_BIND_MOUNTS=”no”, it works.
The previous value with PRUNE_BIND_MOUNTS=”yes” was yielding no locate results.
Thanks for sharing the problem and the solution!--

::Hello,
On my anti-X23 installation, LibreOffice has installed 19 hunspell packages for several languages.
It has also installed in the /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/autocorr directory 48 acor_* files for different languages.
antiX is not responsible for LibreOffice but don’t we know how to block all these files during installation?Best regards,

::Dear all,
I don’t know how to choose a single-colour wallpaper. The option does not exist anymore?
There are 2 spelling mistakes in the French translation. I have corrected Transifex. It wasn’t me who translated it… so don’t shoot at me!
Best regards,

WallonI’ll have to look; offhand I don’t know the answer. It’s possible that the metapackages install too much, so if that’s the case, I’d look to see if there are any individual, specific packages that can be installed instead. The alternative is to manually remove unwanted packages or localized translations; that’s a much less desirable method IF there is another way. I’m not on 23 right now, so I don’t have the definitive answer in front of me.

::I took a look on antiX 22, and the LibreOffice version 7.0.4-4 is the current one there.
I have libreoffice-writer, libreoffice-style-colibre, libreoffice-math, libreoffice-impress, libreoffice-gtk, libreoffice-draw, libreoffice-core, libreoffice-common, libreoffice-calc,
and libreoffice-base-core as the packages I’ve installed. In mine I do not have the libreoffice metapackage installed, and I see what it installs; it might be OK to use it, but I’m sure of doing it the way I did because I did NOT end up with any unwanted extra packages.If you install the ones I installed, that should be safe, and if you do want any locales, install them one by one.

@Wallon, The single colour wallpaper option is only available if you select a non zzz- (space-) desktop option.
If someone knows how to set the zzz- (space-) managed desktop to colour only using the command line or editing a config file (ie: not through the zzzfm (spacefm) dialog) then it could be added to the wallpaper app.Computers are like air conditioners. ::@Dave
Thanks for the explanation.
As I work with 2 screens, the new background is very ugly.I have half of the word “antiX” on the left screen and the other half of the word “antiX” on the right screen.
A unicolour wallpaper is more appropriate on my hardware configuration.
It’s complicated to make a wallpaper for each screen in antiX. You have to do it for Fluxbox, for IceWm and for JWM. I don’t want to waste my time doing this for each installation.

::Hi Wallon, Brian,
the acor packages are in LibreOffice 7.4 and 7.5 from LO Org so a feature for user
friendliness. They are 855 K Plus 418K in Fingerprint folder. Plus Numbertexts.
There are also fonts for many languages included.I cleared a lot of hunspell packages language data, Translations and Fonts I am sure never to need a while
back.For me nitpicking, even on my 64 GB live stick I have a lot of free space, for anyone tight on disk space,
modern computer with 32GB short lived MMC worth slimming I guess.March 12, 2023 at 10:22 am #101766MemberXunzi_23
::Regarding unicolor wallpaper.
Make a unicolor jpeg image with colour and resolution of choice and place it in
/usr/share/wallpaper.
Select the prepared image.
That seems to be a reasonably easy quick fix for those having a multi monitor setup.- This reply was modified 2 months ago by Xunzi_23.

Regarding the current release of LibreOffice, for those who obtain it directly, a message I received this weekend indicated that LibreOffice 7.5 was updated to 7.5.1.

::Dear anticapitalista,
In the JWM desktop, would you please change the settings for the keyboard shortcuts?
Main menu
Control centre
Desktop
JWM settings
“Keys” tab
The line 58 “<Key key=”F2″>exec: gexec</Key>” should be disabled because it conflicts with the F2 key of zzzfm (rename a file)Best regards,

::Regarding the colour only option in the wallpaper app.
I have continued my exploration in the past to make this work. The reason it appears I could not make it work in the past was due to the rgb conversion values being not compatible with the gtk values. Updating / Modifying the past efforts shows that I mainly needed to multiply the rgb values by (65535/255)=257 before writing to the space/zzzfm session file and killing / restarting the desktop. Newest version of the wallpaper app and desktop-session-wallpaper script should now allow the colour only option for space/zzzfm. They can be found in gitlab; for testing copy bin/wallpaper and bin/desktop-session-wallpaper to /usr/local/bin/. (backup the originals before copying)https://gitlab.com/antiX-Dave/wallpaper-antix/

::Dear Xunzi_23 and dear Brian,
I’m thinking mainly of older computers that only have USB2 ports. It’s better to install 1 or 2 packages when the port speed is slower.
Why install hundreds of packages or files that are useless?
They will slow down;
– copying to a Live Demo USB stick,
– the installation on another disk,
– creating a snapshot ISO,
– creating a Live USB,
– upgrades (sudo update, sudo upgrade)
– …A good Linux distribution is the right package at the right place!

::Thank you for saying that @Wallon:
You are absolutely right. In order to achieve maximum efficiency it’s important to keep everything as lean as possible.
This is a great opportunity to discuss the matter because antiX is capable of working for a wide variety of use cases. The essential model, nevertheless, matches your comment and I am glad you reminded all of us.
I never want my desire to have the latest and greatest interfere with the lean, efficient distribution goals.
I’ve been affirming the efforts of PPC because he has written several tools that improve ease of use, yet uphold the goals of lean, efficient operations.
Even those tools are available, yet not necessarily enabled for all use cases and environments.
