Bugfix request for roxfiler, for proper process management in antiX 23:
Roxfiler starts all scripts and programs within a single process group, including the login shell, causing a restart of the complete desktop session when a program cleans up all the running processes under its private process group with same pgid properly by using kill 0 method on leaving. Roxfiler should follow the standards and create a private pgid for all programs started from within its GUI.
Bugfix request for zzzFM default file handler for scripts, for proper process management in antiX 23:
When starting scripts directly from within zzzFM’s GUI, it will run the programs in the very same program group so if one of them kills all processes within its private program group all the other programs started the same way from within zzzFM will be closed as well. Expected behaviour: zzzFM file handler for scripts should put them in different process groups properly.

I have a line in each session that says;

I can’t say if that is normal or not, but on my system ~/local/share/applications/mimeapps.list is linked to ~/.config/mimeapps.list.
Interestingly, in my ~/local/share/applications directory I have a file called:
'userapp-Pale Moon-ERQM41.desktop'I have installed Pale Moon, but the fact that the filename has the single quotes as part of the filename makes me think there could be a script somewhere not escaping quotes correctly. The timestamp on this file is the same as the ~/local/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache file. None of the other packages I have installed have resulted in a .desktop file being added at this location, and the mimeinfo.cache file only contains:
[MIME Cache]
so I’m not sure it is doing much.anticapitalista

Of the 3 apps, only app-select is still being maintained. so I very much doubt rox and zzzFM will get fixed let alone fixed urgently.

I could never translate the terminal into French for example.Wallon
I installed the xfce4-notifyd program with Synaptic.
It works very well and I managed to activate it in the startup file.
The only problem is that it does not appear in the menu>applications.
There is a file /usr/share/applications/xfce4-notifyd-config.desktop.
We don’t know how to fix this bug in antiX?

@Wallon – I installed nvidia-settings and that created a symlink to /usr/share/applications/nvidia-settings.desktop from /usr/lib/nvidia/current/nvidia-settings.desktop. Don’t ask me why.

I did a “Refresh Menu” and also did the “sudo desktop-menu –write-out-global” command.
Now I see Nvidia in the preferences.
But I still can’t find the xfce4-notifyd-config.desktop file
If I remove a hyphen in the file name, I guess App-Select will not find it anymore.Wallon
