Dear Antix Friends,
I installed Antix 64 bit in Virtualbox to see if it works for me and it does and it also installs HPLIP nicely and can install my HP Laser Printer / Scanner fully functional.
Also I installed the 32 Bit Version as I still have a 2 GB RAM laptop which allows only 32 Bit OSes and checked if i get HPLIP running and get my HP Printer installed.
It seems that HPLIP / Toolbox, then gives the error: Can’t find any Network Printer
Can anyone help?
Thanks
You can try, if you know the ip-adress of your printer
hp-makeuri yourprinterIPaddress
Then open
system-config-printer
choose add printer and enter the uri-adress
adding the IP address manual worked, printer and scanner are working fine now :-)) Thank you so much.
Can’t believe it worked, never had it working adding the IP address manually 😉
