::Let’s hope for an alpha2 release soon, with kernel 6.1?
Well, it *could* be an Alpha release, depending on how many of the outstanding issues can be handled with what is available now.
I’m optimistic that we may be ready for a “Beta” series some time fairly soon.
I do agree that a Version 6* kernel would be most helpful right now. Neither the 4.19 nor the 5.10 kernel will support the system I’m using right now, a 2021 vintage HP-14 laptop; all of my other systems are fine with most older kernels, but for me, the 4.19 kernel is the only usable older kernel on on my next most frequently used laptop, the Dell Inspiron 5558. For some very odd reason, the /dev filesystem doesn’t want to properly “populate” and get recognized on any of the Debian or antiX 5.10 kernels; once in a GREAT while they work, but I’ve yet to figure out exactly what “frees” them up, and with the great availability of numerous other working kernels, I’m not terribly interested in diagnosing the behavior of an old kernel series when there are literally hundreds of other perfectly good working kernels. Moreover, since 1995 when I first started using Linux software, the 5.10 kernel has been the only one that’s ever given any of my systems difficulty. Nevertheless I do understand that different software works well for different systems and different people, so I’m always willing to see “variety”, it’s just one particular component that I’m unable to work with personally.
I’m truly looking forward to having a Version 6 kernel, so I can natively test the upcoming release on the HP-14.

::Debian 12, testing, is already running on two new Intel 7th Generation computers. Kernel 6.1.xxx. I would like antiX 23 with kernel 6.1.xxx, working on my old computer, IntelCore2Duo, E8500, socket 775. I am waiting and hoping for a favorable result.

::Hi sasa
For IntelCore2Duo, E8500, socket 775 Why not just give it a try with a live stick.
Otherwise can let you know if running ok in a couple of days, my duo test device, also
socket 775 is at a friends house.- This reply was modified 2 months, 3 weeks ago by Xunzi_23.

::I can’t boot the iso file, which has kernel 5.10 in it. I get a green screen. That’s why I’m waiting for a new iso file, which I hope will be with a new kernel.

::Can’t remember, but have you tried booting the legacy one (4.19)?
Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::I tried to run the iso via two options.
1. Legacy kernel
2. Modern kernel.
No results, no booting.Newer computers, Intel 7th generation, boot the iso successfully, and antiX 23 alpha works.

::Hi sasa, on the computer I am using now I had same issue, NVidia Graphics, green screen both
antiX 23 kernels.I was able to install the 6 series kernel as offered by anticapitalista to a live stick on
another computer, integrated using antiX live kernel updater tool after a remaster, now can
boot and run without issues. Well worth the effort :-). -
