      Hi everyone,

I installed AntiX for the first time today on an old HP 110 Mini.

As a teacher I am looking to connect a VGA video projector on this new operating system and computer.

Is that possible on AntiX ?

      Thank you for your feedback.

      Antony

Xrandr is included in a AntiX 17 full install

So yeah. It should be possible. Depending on user skill set. Howdy and Welcome. Please post a

You can also look in antix-control-centre under session, then display resolution, your projector should be there under devices.

I can attest to this as well.

Not to derail but would there be any easy way to automate this process? I like to show off my antix netbook sometimes and changing displays can be a bit of a hassle.

It’s not quite clear to me what you like to do.
But you can save any configuration you made for your screens with the screenlayout-editor from control-centre

Look under Layout and choose “save under”
Then choose your home-directory and name the file you want to save for example .projector
              Click on Save
This will save your configuration in a hidden file in home.
Open a root-terminal and make it executable
              chmod 755 .projector.sh

If you want to use the projector open a terminal and type
              arandr .projector.sh

This will open screenlayout-editor with your configuration and you can choose Apply under Layout.
Well, this can go faster, it depends on your preferences.

Yes, I’m aware that it’s possible to save the layouts with arandr. However, what I was thinking of doing is something where it switches to the vga display (in proper full resolution) when I plug in my vga cable.

Possibly could be fixed with some kind of script? I’m not a math surgeon though 😛

Same here, but I found one that looks promising (sorry german side)
