Does the new geany version require new menu icons?

geany, v1.33 vs v1.37, does not require new icons.
The difference you noticed, it hinges on which gtk theme is active.

For this screenshot, (antix 19) while geany was running I changed the selected gtk theme via lxappearance and launched a new instance. Only selected a different theme, I did not alter the Iconset selection.

@Xecure, the video scaling script may need to be placed before the session is loaded so that the session will load in the specified ratios to avoid the session start, scale, and restart. I had plans to do this via arandr -> save and saving the file as ~/.desktop-session/set-screen.

            > Has anyone else installed the alpha on VirtualBox
FWIW, using an older host system here (xorg-legacy and older vb extensions), I was unable to start a graphical session across most attempts and lockup or blackscreen occurred a few seconds after sessionstartup on the few occasions it managed to get that far. So, I’m sidelined ~~ will try again later with next alpha/beta version.

Ive never installed anything in a virtual box…HDD/SDD’s are chump change and a 20 gig testing partition is a non-issue.
I’ve yet to see anything “Alpha” about this thing. It screams and the only thing I can’t get to cooperate is Timeshift, which I like far better than the included backup creatures.Liquorix could be the culprit…havent worried about it much as of yet

Ok. Then some gtk3 library version must be involved then, as no matter what gtk theme I select the triangle is still gigantic. Nothing to worry about, really. It just looks strange, but the app works well and the icon is understandable. I will get use to it.

@Xecure, the video scaling script may need to be placed before the session is loaded so that the session will load in the specified ratios to avoid the session start, scale, and restart. I had plans to do this via arandr -> save and saving the file as ~/.desktop-session/set-screen.

That is great! I will add an exception to check if that set-screen file is present in the ~/.desktop-session/ folder and stop the script then and there. We could also have the screen configuration saved there instead of to ~/.screenlayout/default.sh when that function is implemented.

                the problem is the
                VBoxClient --vmsvga
that I have in the script, and that only runs if antiX is loaded in a VirtualBox VM. This starts the VBox client so it auto-resizes the resolution depending on the virtualbox window size, so the experience in a VM (Virtualbox only) is smoother (on first boot). The rest of BobC’s magic doesn’t require a session restart (except when user input is requested, but at that pint the session has properly loaded, and restarting doesn’t cause any problems as described for the VM part of the script).

                        success with printing.

What I did learn is that there is no frequently answered question for
How do I print an image.
no wiki on it. no forum question on it.
(since, (it is not Ctrl+P in default image handler Mirage)
seems more of a statement about antiX users’ capabilities
                        that this is not asked.)

image print: qpdfview, Draw, browser (? _full)

image files do not have qpdfview or Draw on the Open [with] menu. (?)
In mtpaint the configure command for Print is kprinter; what can this be set to?

Thanks for the info I can only compare with the programs install sorry, as they are the same as I use all the time with 19.2.1 with maybe a few different versions. The only service program installed would be mpd the rest should not be running at all on bootup. Or their may be memory leak? As for full and base 19.2.1 is base if this is the differences in memory usage from full to base can’t for antiX21 base then.

I’m not going to reinstall I have put to much work into this and really like 21a.
You have all done an awesome job with 21a. And I’m sure not complaining.. Plus I have 16gb of memory whats a couple of hundred meg anyway. Its all good.
