I think I’ve messed things up pretty bad. I went to use Antix Control Center today only to find that it is no longer in my menu and there is no trace of it on my system. No idea how that happened. So then I went to install it by running sudo apt install antix-cc-antix and I got this:

      Reading package lists... Done
      Building dependency tree
      Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
antix-cc-antix : Depends: sysv-rc-conf but it is not installable
Depends: live-usb-gui-antix but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

sysv-rc-conf shows up in the repository but it isn’t actually there. Weird. What’s with that? And “is not going to be installed”

Then I tried the usual procedure for fixing broken packages but I still get the same error when I try to install antix-cc.

Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks in advance.

Did you run an apt update before trying to install? Perhaps your package lists are out of date?

          solution was already found
          sudo apt install control-centre-antix

The thread vanished somehow and is now incomplete.
