I have downloaded the version of anti-X core. I just do not know where to go from the command line. I assume if I try to install KDE it would just be a basic KDE from Debian, but I have never gotten anywhere past the command line.|
Yes I did a forum search but found no answers I could understand.
      Thank You.

Make it do what you want it to, in a way that makes you happy. Its like a blank canvas. Get out your paint and brushes.

In the first page of searching “core KDE”
          https://www.antixforum.com/forums/search/core+kde/

I just finished up building a KDE/plasma desktop spin using antiX 19.1 core. The build is totally done on a live-usb. The series covers a brief tour of the antiX 19.1 cli control center, cli-aptiX, and the process of installing the necessary packages. the remaster is used to consolidate all that into a new default filesystem, including the customized KDE desktop. And then we utilize the latest feature of the installer to keep those desktop changes when the /home/demo folder is present in the default filesystem linuxfs file.

          series available here:

Well I do not know what is your expertise in CLI (Command Line Interface).
Judging from you being lost, I suggest that you install at least some desktop environment, then synaptic and use it to browse the categories of programs to add.
This will avoid getting stuck in the CLI.

            There are two steps:
            1) Update your system
sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade && sudo apt autoclean
            2) Install the desktop (full suite in the below example) and ‘synaptic’ (GUI listing packages/applications)
            sudo apt install synaptic <desktop>
where <desktop> is to be replaced by the variant you would like to have, e.g. ‘lxde’, ‘lxqt’, ‘xfce4’, ‘gnome’, … which installs full-suite of applications.
If it is not what you want, you may install the X-server and the selected programs separately.

            Hope that helps.

If you get familiar with the results, you could re-install/restore your antiX to core again and add only the necessary components that make you happy.

Sorry, I thought you were trying to decide what to do with core…

Maybe you were searching with the wrong search. The magnifying glass up at the top right under your user id searches the website for help with how to use wordpress forums, but doesn’t search the forum posts.

To search forum posts, click Forum On the menu at the right and the pulldown will appear, and you see search forum there

Click the pic below and it will show you what it looks like.

An easier way would be to install the full version of antiX and then use the Package Installer to install one of the KDE packages on top of it…
