I’m just putting down some ideas in case someone with limited resources wants to make an affordable system. antiX certainly makes a great set of software to make it possible and expect an excellent usable system.

I completely agree with your statement. antiX offers some of the best efficiency and flexibility out there. Moreover, antiX includes some of the best tools to configure and manage. It is close to perfection. It is just some little wrinkles that should be polished eventually.

You can check to see if the nouveau module has been blacklisted in one of these files:
        /etc/modprobe (any video file), /etc/modprobe.d/nouveau_blacklist.conf, /usr/lib/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf, or /usr/lib/modprobe.d/nvidia-dkms.conf
and COMMENT nouveau blacklisting (so it no longer blocked from loading).

        Thanks again Xecure.
Per your suggestion I looked at all content of modprobe.d and as I expected there is no trace of Nouveau being blacklisted.
This I think confirms that nVidia driver did not somehow and silently sneak in and blacklisted Nouveau. I think this returns me to my original idea I mentioned at the beginning that video configuration of the newer machine (T520), was inherited in in the ‘clone’ produced ‘from running system’ and confused the original driver.

Per your suggestion running the following:

        rmmod nvidia
        modprobe nouveau

        The above produces:
modprobe nouveau – returns to terminal prompt – no message produced
        rmmod nvidia – produces:
rmmod: ERROR: Module nvidia is not curreently loaded

        Thanks again and Regards…
