linuxdaddy, IIRC you were interested in the evolvotron program.
Posting to let you know there’s a new “toy” available in MX Linux repository called ‘qosmic’ ~~ it generates ethereal flame fractal images. A couple examples:
In case they aren’t displayed in “packageinstaller” (I haven’t checked): http://mxrepo.com/MX17packages.html
download the “flam3” and “qosmic” debfiles, then sudo dpkg -i
install flam3 followed by qosmic
When using the program, instead of fiddling with all dials-n-controls, you can just repeatedly press Ctrl+R (generates a random parameter set and displays a thumbnail for quick inspection)
So far the new kernel — 4.19.43 upgraded and running.
Seems to work good hardware wise. I’ll give it a day or 2
before removing my old one. Thx anti for staying on top of
the kernel security patches. Even though not too sure my
old pentium-m is even affected by this one.
