::Sort of. There’s some trial and error involved. 🙂 Press enough buttons and the right results eventually appear. The most pressing issue is tint2. Google searches haven’t revealed, yet, how to get my WIFI icon in the system tray. EDIT: I just invoked Connman while noodling around in the Control Center, and I notice that I now have connman’s WIFI icon in tint2—even though WIFI was already active and running. Huh. Not sure what to make of that.

::vppoet, Your background looks nice, but I don’t see how you are launching programs. PPC had a thread recently about using tint2 on antiX, but that might have been for the FluxBox window manager. I only use tint2 when the window manager doesn’t have a taskbar and tray setup built in, like with openbox, for example.
It looks like you are using IceWM there. Maybe you have autohide turned on, or the taskbar turned off. What was it that you were trying to do that you couldn’t get IceWM to do that caused you to need tint2? Create a thread on it if you want help with it, maybe?

::To launch programs, I can right click anywhere to bring up the “start menu”. I can also use alt+f2. That works almost as well as synapse. I can also simply press the “window key”.
As to the IceWM task bar, I edited preferences and set ShowTaskBar=0. That hides the taskbar. The reason I’m using tint2 is purely vanity. I like the transparent affect and I wasn’t sure if or how to accomplish that with IceWM, being utterly new to it. I saw that a previous poster on this thread was using tint2 to create a “transparent” taskbar/panel and so I figured that must be the easiest way (if someone else with some experience was doing that).
However, Googling “IceWM transparent” I come up with the following: https://github.com/bbidulock/icewm/issues/299
With a transparent theme here: https://www.box-look.org/p/1319927/
But it doesn’t seem nearly as mature/developed as tint2’s theme transparency. tint2, from what I can tell, just looks better. I could be wrong though. I’ll have to look at more of the screenshots.

::I think you already know what you are doing. You could probably make it work if you put the effort into it.
It’s not something that I have ever seen or tried. I’m a form, fit and function guy, LOL.

::Beautiful. How did you gnomify firefox’s top panel? What theme? I wanna do that. And maybe I’m being obtuse, but what’s the orange launcher in your second photo and theme?

::rokytnji, question: what line do you use to generate the weather report in Conky? Right now I’m trying something
${texeci 1800 curl -s ‘wttr.in format=%l:+%C+%t’ | sed -n ‘3,7{s/\d27\[[0-9;]*m//g;s/^..//;s/ *$//;p}’}
per a recommendation by wttr’s author in a Github issue thread. However, I notice yours looks a bit nicer; I can’t quite get things like
city name and current condition, and with the proper centering and such. I’ve also tried${color}${font Dejavu Sans Mono:size=8:style=Bold}${alignc}${execi 1800 curl ‘wttr.in/?format=%t+%c’ > weather}
${exec cat weather}${font}which is actually not all that bad, but stuff still doesn’t display quite like I’d want.

Anyway, if you follow his destructions and search for
conky weather wttr
You will find his post with his weather stuff for the conky on the first page…
${texeci 1800 curl 'wttr.in/Pecos?q?0?T'}Have fun, and nice to meet you
PS: I think he lives in/near Pecos

::Thanks userzero! Those are great links and thanks for the ROFI color scheme. I thought you might have installed the Regolith desktop.

::Sorry, I don’t need a menu … I remember seeing that taskbar in Windows XP … It’s good to be able to correct what’s wrong … I don’t understand why he feels offended … It’s just software.
