      One more way using an image an converting it to ascii with jp2a.

      image_backend="jp2a"
      image_source="/home/oren/Pictures/antix3.png"
      colors=(7 4 4 4 7 7)

      That looks pretty cool & A LOT better than the default one for sure!!!

      Needs a little work, but this is definitely better. Thanks for the awesome tip!!!

          Hotcornerified with bl-hotcorners-python3 and skippy-xd from repo

          The good news is that antiX-23 beta2 already has skippy-xd installed out of the box…
          The bad news is that I tried your code on the beta2 and the python script exited with two errors…

          P.

          Really strange, i use it also in Debian 12 (XFCE cause dark backround) and Lilidog 12 with grabbed SkippyXD, and it works.

          Skippy-XD alone from terminal works?

          P.S: in terminal bl-hotcorners-python3 -d

          Please post the errors. Thanks!

            I’m not a RTFM fan, but… instead of asking here, why not trying, on a terminal, running skippy-xd

            …There’s not knowing something, and then again, there’s just being lazy… Strangely enough, because creating a post takes way longer than running a simple command on the terminal, right?

            Edit: I hope that I misread you, and you were just showing surprise.

              On my computer both skippy-xd by itself and capn-damo’s bl-hotcorners-python3 script work fine, I have antix 23 runit installed as alpha2 kernel 5.10 and with yesterday’s updates.

              You say that on your computer with antix 23 beta2 it doesn’t work, I want to understand why, to know how to fix it, or if it’s better never to talk about it again.

              To get your installation I would have to download the iso, install on a new partition… and then maybe it would work because I don’t have the same video card as you.

              When I run bl-hotcorners-python3 -d in the terminal I first run bl-hotcorners-python3 -k to kill the process, and some messages come out, but it doesn’t stop working.

              $ bl-hotcorners-python3 -d
              wm_check(): Your WM looks EWMH compliant.
              main(): running once then quitting...
              wm_get_stack_sub(): Retrieved window stack from _NET_CLIENT_LIST.
              [     0.01 ] error 8 (BadMatch) request 42 minor 0 serial 280 ("BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)")
              clientwin_handle(): Quitting.

              I’ve tested on both IceWM and Fluxbox, and it works. I wouldn’t put anything that isn’t a little tried.

              I forgot: I use JWM with zzzFM.

              Thanks for your patience

              P.S. I finally knew what program from that output: skippy-xd also in version 0.6 found on ArchLinux does this. When it writes “Quitting” it’s true, but next time it restarts.

                  Are you staying “cool” in the “shop” today @rokytnji?
                  Looks like it’s SLIGHTLY cooler NOW than it was the other day, BUT
                  it looks like it’s gonna be pretty close to what it was the other day!

                  We’re inside; my wife went out onto our screened in porch to pick a few basil leaves off our
                  plant and it felt PRETTY WARM here; I think this has been our WARMEST day so far in 2023;
                  close to the warmest day since we moved here in 2018.

                  Nice screenshot!

                  Attached is an image of that Cumberland Falls MOONBOW that I have mentioned.

                    Another really nice image, and it’s much smaller in the size/weight of the image is the attached one

                        Here’s an older, lower resolution photo of the Cumberland Falls WITHOUT the beautiful moonbow.
                        Still a really nice image, isn’t it?
