UI/UX developers should learn and give us such clean and usable interface again.
As long as we still use a keyboard and mice, nothing can beat that. Enjoy! 🙂 🙂

More accurately, for long file or directory names, it’s more like this:

            icon vie
            w is the
            bane o…

              Few more screenshots …
Note that, like in other screenshots too, I didn’t change the menu icons.
Replacing them all, one by one, seems to be a “long-term project”. 😉

As far as I could find this is a painting by Abeer Hassan was named “another life”. I suspect that she was inspired by the Aswan dam in the Nile where several poor people’s villages were flooded due to the dam. The villages ended up being covered by mud and water. Same story anywhere large dams were created.

I remember having to lift one of those rear wheels to put in on a tire machine and wondering, what the hell were they thinking. It weighed more than my Dodge truck’s wheel. A Honda dream weighed less I think.

Damn it! 2 fm-s , xfce-panel/menu running under 100MB, you are tempting me to try i3 again, or is it the 32bit that makes the big difference?

Both. On a 4 GB machine like the one used, you don’t really profit of a 64-bit OS (32-bit and PAE enabled kernel can use more than my machine can handle).
64-bit systems make sense only when you use something with 16+ GB of RAM. i3 “eats” Herbstflut for a breakfast — it can handle floating windows too.
                                i3 rox 😉

Panels do not use sooo much RAM — it comes much more to the rest that runs (or not) then on panels itself.
As you can see here: https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/post-your-ps_mem-py-stats/page/4/#post-12902
                                LX-Panel uses 10 MB.
