I dug out my old eeepc 701 and got antiX installed OK.
Monkeying around with settings, I changed some sort of margins settings somewhere and now my wallpaper has a margin on the left and right.
Now I can’t find the setting that I did this on. Does anyone know what I’m talking about and where that setting is?
Thanks.

::Check your wallpaper settings. The window where you select an image to set and it should have a setting for centered, scale, full and maybe something else. You will have to play with those settings to see which works best for you.
AntiX, Lilidog, PCLinuxOS, Mabox, SparkyLinux, Bodhi

::That’s not it. What I changed were actual numbers…seems like the margins were originally 12, 8, 8, 12 or something like that. I didn’t really know what they were for. I was just trying to get a decent look for the tiny screen on the eeepc. After changing them I didn’t notice the wallpaper difference for a while and now I can’t figure out how to get back to that settings panel with those numbers.

::Try astronut’s suggestion anyway, just to see if that works. If it doesn’t, perhaps take a screenshot & post it, so we can see what you mean. And tell us which desktop you are using — perhaps the configuration you changed was in the window manager settings from the Control Centre?

::I found the “Margins” settings I was talking via File Manager>View>Preferences>Desktop but it must have been the wallpaper “Mode” I changed as the Margins settings weren’t the issue…even though I had monkeyed with them.
Thanks all.

I’m not sure, but I think that if you set your wallpaper via the file manager (ex: zzzmf /spacefm), the next time you start your desktop, you’ll be back with the default wallpaper, selected via the Control Centre, don’t forget to check that out (logging off and back on, and see if your wallpaper looks like you want)
