If we were running with a single distribution’s repository I wouldn’t mind trusting the architects with dist-upgrade, but here we have two. One of them (if you are a tiny little bit schizo-..) may be trying to defeat the other, so it may be throwing traps. Anti-x can not possibly foresee what will be thrown in deb-sid the next moment.
I believe blindly even apt upgrade may be dangerous. Apt upgrade may only upgrade versions of existing pkgs but if their dependencies change more pkgs may need to come in, and that may make existing pkgs incompatible with what needs to be installed. Can one run dist-upgrade in antix rep’s only and simple upgrade on debian repositories?

I wouldn’t use -f with debian repositories open, I don’t feel lucky enough, ever.

I just tried an upgrade again, things did upgrade, concole-setup and console-setup-linux resulted in an error again.

            Do not install console-setup-freebsd!

            You only need console-setup.

It seems like there may be a bug in that Debian package. If so, you will have to wait until it gets fixed upstream.
This is one of the joys of using Debian sid.
If you don’t like this unreliability, sid is not for you.

Try the suggestion in this thread: console-setup broken

I am not complaining, I know sid, I like sid, if it wasn’t for sid I’d be in arch 100%, where being without systemd is not as complicated as debian makes it.

Seriously, I am just reporting an issue, it is not affecting me as far as I can tell, yet.
I am thinking of uninstalling console-setup and reinstalling it as I am wondering whether I created the mess by upgrading through chroot instead of being logged on and console-setup requires a real live session.

I agree 🙂 You can interpret all you like but there is only one reality. There are many ways to change it.

W: APT had planned for dpkg to do more than it reported back (24 vs 31).
                         Affected packages: console-setup-linux:amd64 sgml-base:amd64

I got this warning only, but when I run dist-upgrade again I got no warnings at all

                      All fine again.
                      Thank you

Not directly a sid question, maybe a more general antix question, I noticed that i386 architecture is enabled and mixed in antix. Is it necessary for any reason?

Now for the sid related issues. I am having trouble reinstalling lxsession lxsession-logout etc. Something must have changed with polkit issues in debian and a careless dist-upgrade took some of my stuff away.
