I love the antix-viewer, its very fast en lighweight.

To download almos everyting i use youtube-dl and wget

And with the resizing tip from scidoo you can bring the ugly menubar en scrolbar outsite the window, so it starts always max fullscreen.

I actually like antix-viewer, but I see the boot-repair-antix has it as a 50 mb dependency, and I’m sitting here trying to create a mini-icewm system with good features still in it.

Sorry, but I don’t know how to word it well, but couldn’t it just require that you have some gui browser capable of playing video or antix-viewer and run the page with your default program?

Not really a complaint, but just a thought…

I tried to find this antix-viewer program. How do I launch it? Is it in antiX-17?

If you open a terminal you could try:

            sudo apt-get update
            sudo apt-get install antix-viewer

Once its installed you can try the Run command from the menu or Ctrl-Alt-Spacebar or any terminal and put in:

Its a program in /usr/bin, not a script

It is packaged as a deb

                  antix-viewer

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

Okay, I found it and I tried it out. The YT page you linked didn’t play. But I got it to display google.com and google news. But links on the page did not work.

I’m not sure how this program is to be used. It appears to be a simple browser but lacks most of the menu features. Why should I use antix-viewer instead of SeaMonkey?

Not sure how you ran it, but try running it from a terminal. Here is what the output looked like on mine. Look for errors that might privide clues.
