Manyroads wrote a very interesting article, which I happened to find on the MX Forum, on how to build an Xfce variation of antiX. Once built, he also shows us how to remove the “usual” antiX configurations, removing IceWM, Fluxbox, and many other programs, leaving you with an antiX implementation of Xfce that is quite similar to MX Linux, except that it is definitely a custom build, created exclusively from antiX tools.
(I wrote an article nearly a decade ago on how to create an antiX Core Xfce distribution. I suggest that Mark’s approach is very good and quite possibly easier to accomplish with success!)
I looked around a bit though not exhaustively, to see if this same topic has been mentioned here. If it was, I failed to spot it. With due credit to Manyroads (a contributor here and the MX Linux Forum, the link from the MX Forum is

::@manyroads: I think that your information is *very* helpful and I hope that many people will take advantage of it and use it. I also hope that your small business venture is effective, and if this discussion in any way brings “traffic” and business, that would be nice too. As I said, Mark, I really appreciate your work and wish you the very best!
