Devuan (non-systemd version of Debian) has this feature, so you could umount/eject flash disk safely because entire disk image copied to RAM & the system run from there.

        What does your question mean?
The feature is already implemented in antiX for ages. And besides, antiX is also in the list of distrubitions in the article you referenced.

toram Copy the entire linuxfs file into RAM. This takes up RAM. The amount of RAM used will be about the same as the size of the .iso file used to create the LiveCD or LiveUSB. It will also take some time when you first boot to copy the file into RAM. But after this, the system will run very fast. You can also eject the LiveCD (or remove the LiveUSB while the system is running.

@zirconium-40 – we here at the antiX forum are very helpful- here folks gets help and even tutorials on everything since how do to simple tasks to solving truly esoteric hardware and software problems.
My general advice is no RTFM, but, at least take some care in, at least searching on-line before posting something that people will expend time answering – that advice does not even apply to this case: the very link you posted told you that antiX did run from RAM! You could ask how to use that feature, since it’s not easy for non techies, but even so, the explanation on how to turn that on was available on the antiX wiki…

You didn’t even need to search the wiki, searching on-line for “running antiX from ram” would have told you that you could do that… And way faster than waiting for someone to answer your question!
So, Tip for new (and older) users- look on-line first, only post on the forum if you didn’t find the answer- there are 2 reasons for this:
1- if you find an answer on-line, it’s instant, you don’t have to wait for anyone…
2- you don’t take time from the people that usually try to answer questions and help users here in the forum.

I hope antiX runs well from RAM in your computer!

            Merry Christmas to all,
            P.

Not only do we have this feature (we do), we were one of the early distributions to make this available.

There are others that do it too; I’ve been using this feature since the early 2000s, maybe even before antiX, but some of the early adopters faded; antiX learned, grew features while remaining lean and efficient.
